The acting is unusually good, even for the Reliance Company
22 November 2015 | by See all my reviews

A well-balanced and well-told story of the effects of an accusing conscience. The sympathy of the audience is early enlisted for the girl so hopelessly and unjustly entangled in the net of circumstantial evidence. The climax, when, as she tells her story in court, the real murderer rushes in and dramatically confesses, telling the story of his visions, supplies a fitting ending to this excellent production. The appearance of the spirit of the uncle and the death of the murderer constitute a scene which will never be forgotten. The acting is unusually good, even for the Reliance Company, and the photography is an improvement over some of the former films produced by the same company. A steady improvement, indeed, is noted in all departments of this company's work. - The Moving Picture World, March 11, 1911
