Trivia

In one of the oddest twists in television history, this film received scathing reviews, prompting its creators and star Cybill Shepherd to publicly announce that their project was not meant to be viewed -- or reviewed -- as a serious biography of Martha Stewart, but as a scathing satire. The network reran the film within a few weeks, a very unusual practice for a TV movie, and it has since been embraced as a camp classic. However, it remains unclear whether its creators actually set out to make a comedy or were merely saving face in the wake of the film's deadly reception. See more »

Goofs

At the end of the movie, Martha stops by a marketplace off the highway back to Connecticut. In the hall of the marketplace, a Canadian flag can be seen flying from a pole, where you would otherwise expect an American flag to be. See more »

Finally a good made for TV movie
27 May 2003 | by westsidedude2001See all my reviews

This show was good and actually kind of funny. The show displayed her temper and that's kinda fun to watch. Cybill did a good job portraying Martha but I find it hard to think ill of Martha because she is actually a hard worker, driven by her need to be successful. This is the American way these days. Keep up the good work Martha and Cybill.
