Henry Cavill Gets Classic Superman Curl In Awesome Fan-Made Edit

Henry Cavill’s Superman infamously began as a much more somber take on the Man of Steel. However, by the time of his resurrection in Justice League, he’d been retooled as a character more in line with the version of Supes that DC fans have in their heads. That said, he’s still never really sported the classic ‘S’ hair curl that was once a fixture of the hero’s look.

If you’ve always wanted to see what Cavill’s Superman would appear like with the hair-lick though, you’re in luck. An awesome fan edit of a Man of Steel promo photo has surfaced this week and it brightens up the darker colors of his suit and puts things right by giving the actor the Christopher Reeve curl.

Much like the classic red trunks, Superman’s curl hasn’t been in fashion for a while now, with

Zack Snyder Shares First Photo Of Henry Cavill In Man Of Steel Costume

Up until Tim Burton’s Batman stormed theaters in 1989, costume designers working on superhero flicks had yet to think outside of the spandex box. Slowly but surely, though, we saw new territory charted with leather and other fabrics in trendsetters such as 2000’s X-Men and 2002’s Spider-Man.

Though each outfit worn by Superman in various movie and TV productions had all been accurate to the comics, the aforementioned spandex look now seems dated in a world where this area has taken major strides. To be honest, I didn’t hate the threads Brandon Routh donned in 2006’s Superman Returns, but I felt the right formula had yet to be found.

Fortunately, Zack Snyder and company exceeded my expectations in 2013 with Man of Steel, affording the timeless icon a suit that was every bit as badass as something the Dark Knight would sport. Being sleek and sans red trunks, Henry Cavill

Bryan Singer Will Get Directing Credit on ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’

Bryan Singer Will Get Directing Credit on ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’
Bryan Singer has received the directing credit for Freddie Mercury biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody,” despite being replaced by Dexter Fletcher during the latter stages of the shoot.

Fletcher came on board to direct in December after Fox fired Singer from the project after repeated absences from the set had forced the studio to halt production.

Fox is opening the movie on Nov. 2. The studio confirmed a report about the directing credit Tuesday in Empire Magazine.

“Bryan Singer is the credited director of the film,” producer Graham King said. “Basically, Bryan had some personal issues going on. He wanted to hiatus the movie to deal with them, and the movie had to get finished. That was what it came down to… It wasn’t about reinventing the wheel. We needed someone who would have some creative freedom, but work inside a box.”

King also said in the interview that Fletcher shot footage for about 16 days.

A List Of Possible Titles For Wonder Woman 2 Have Surfaced

I’m not nearly as harsh on the DC Extended Universe as others may be, as I think – despite some missteps – that there’s a lot to enjoy about what’s been served up thus far. Still, I must concede that its finest offering to date was that of the Amazon Warrior’s first solo movie, so I’m right there with anyone else who’s eagerly anticipating Wonder Woman 2.

Of course, it’s assumed that’s merely a placeholder title because numbering DC movies just hasn’t been the modus operandi of Warner Bros. since the days of Christopher Reeve’s Superman. Granted, not many other heroes from this brand aside from Batman have been granted sequels in the time since, but you can’t deny the pattern that’s emerged.

So, before we move on, let’s go over what we do know about Diana Prince’s next adventure.

Zack Snyder Reveals Photo That Got Henry Cavill Cast as Superman

Zack Snyder celebrated Henry Cavill’s birthday by revealing the photo that landed him the role of Superman in Man of Steel. While he had previously appeared in such films as Stardust and Immortals, as well as the TV series The Tudors, Cavill’s true breakthrough role came in 2013 when Snyder cast him as Clark Kent/Superman. A big screen reboot of the DC superhero franchise, after director Bryan Singer’s attempt to bring the character back to the masses with 2006’s Superman Returns, failed to gain the momentum the studio was hoping for.

It's a Bird, It's a Plane — No, It's Every Actor Who Has Played Superman

As he celebrates his 80th Anniversary, we find ourselves thinking about the actors that have played Superman. But even beyond the Superman actors, there's also the moment that started it all: the April 1938 debut of Action Comics. At the time, it cost one thin (perhaps not-so-thin then) dime, and in 2014 that same same comic book sold for $3.2 million. Now that's an investment, although 80 years ago no one really expected the guy who adorned the cover of that comic, Superman (created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster), to have the impact that he did. Or that he would still be thriving so many decades later, the character appearing in virtually every non-print medium, including radio, television, animation, the big screen, and even on the Broadway stage. And in that time, the "S" adorning his chest has proven an inspiration to people around the world. "You can take the 'S'

Legends Of Tomorrow’s Brandon Routh Teases Fortress Of Solitude

Though he only appeared as the Man of Steel in one cinematic outing, Superman Returns star Brandon Routh managed to stay part of the DC universe by playing Ray Palmer/The Atom in The CW’s Arrowverse. And now, it looks like a future episode of Legends of Tomorrow is going to allude to Routh’s past turn as the Last Son of Krypton in a very fun way.

The actor has taken to Instagram to share a shot of some interesting set dressing on the time-travelling superhero show. It sees him staring at a crystalline structure that DC fans will recognize as looking very similar to the Fortress of Solitude, Superman’s icy retreat hidden away at the North Pole.

“Something about this set is making me feel at home,” Routh joked in the caption for the photo, which can be seen in the gallery below along with a

Does Nicolas Cage Still Want To Play Superman One Day?

If you’ve been around for a while, then you surely remember the time that separated 1987’s Superman IV: The Quest for Peace from 2006’s Superman Returns. Long story short, Hollywood burned through many scripts when trying to resurrect the Man of Steel for the big screen, with none of them coming to fruition. There was one that came dangerously close to doing so, though.

We are, of course, talking about Superman Lives. Set to have been directed by Tim Burton, it would’ve starred Nicolas Cage as Big Blue and was all but ready to begin filming before the plug was pulled by Warner Bros. Now, we could probably discuss this all day, but for the most comprehensive source out there, it’s best you consult the documentary that chronicled the ill-fated flick, as it really is a fascinating watch.

Anyways, while recently speaking with Variety at the Sundance Film Festival this week,

Man Of Steel 2 Fan Trailer Brings Supergirl, Brainiac And Bizarro Into The Dceu

Though we’ve already seen Henry Cavill’s Superman in three out of the five Dceu movies to date, there’s still so much more of the Big Blue Boy Scout’s mythos to bring to the big screen. As such, Supes fans are forever calling for Warner Bros. to give us a Man of Steel 2. But what would a sequel feature? Common theories suggest it would introduce Brainiac and Supergirl into the franchise, but how would that work?

Following on from his recent mock-trailer for Wonder Woman 2, featuring John Krasinski as Green Lantern, YouTuber Alex Luthor has made the above Man of Steel 2 video that imagines how the touted sequel could include a few more of Supes’ supporting characters. Namely, Tom Hardy as Brainiac and Alexandra Daddario as Kara Zor-El Aka Supergirl. Not to mention Henry Cavill as Superman’s evil clone, Bizarro.

As ever, this is a

X-Men Director Bryan Singer Sued for Allegedly Raping Teen Boy

X-Men Director Bryan Singer Sued for Allegedly Raping Teen Boy
Bryan Singer has been accused of raping a 17-year old boy back in 2003, and is being sued by the now 31-year old man, according to TMZ. The news comes after a rough week where Singer was fired from Bohemian Rhapsody, a biopic about Freddie Mercury and his band Queen, for what he claims was a pressing family matter, but the cast and crew say otherwise. The director is notoriously difficult to work with and it appears that there may have been more going on that not many were privy to. Singer is denying any and all claims against him at this time.

The X-Men director issued a statement in which he strenuously denied all the claims. The lawsuit, filed by Cesar Sanchez-Guzman, alleges that Bryan Singer was at a party, with young gay men, on tech investor Lester Waters' yacht in Seattle in 2003. It claims that Singer offered to

The Bryan Singer Timeline: a History of Allegations and Defenses, from Troubled Films to Sexual Assault Claims
Bryan Singer has had a ruinous week. On December 4, 20th Century Fox fired Singer from the Freddie Mercury biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” for abandoning the London set; on December 6, the studio announced Dexter Fletcher as his replacement. In a statement, Singer ascribed his absence on “Bohemian Rhapsody” to caring for an ailing parent, but Fox also declined to renew its long-term deal with Singer’s production company, while his longtime publicist cut ties a few months ago.

And then, on December 7, Singer hit the news cycle again: In a lawsuit filed by attorney Jeff Herman, Cesar Sanchez-Guzman accused Singer of sexually assaulting him in 2003, when Sanchez-Guzman was 17.

All of this represents a tremendous comedown for Singer, a blockbuster director whose films have made over $1 billion in domestic release alone.
