Storyline

A German ammunition transport has been blown up. The members of a combat cell hurry to get away. Only one of them, the fair-haired man, manages to get through the police cordon. He soon reaches the safe house and drops into the bed. Suddenly, he confronts by the Turtledove, a thief, who has taken refuge in the same garret. They both have the same social background. The tense hours spent waiting for the dawn draw them together. The fair-haired man ideas touch a responsive chord in the Turtledove. When the police surround the house, the Turtledove experiences a change of heart. He decides to share the dangerous life of his new friend. However, the fair-haired man is shot dead. A cry of anguish echoes from the heartless walls of the neighborhood: "Is there anyone there? They have killed a man, can you hear me?" Written by Georgi Djulgerov <georgidjul1943@gmail.com>
