Frank Foster, with his father and mother, lock up their town house and go to the seaside. While there, Frank receives a note from his fiancée, Myra Pope, asking him to stop in town for a night and attend a game of bridge. Frank gets the key of the town house from his father and determines to dress there for the bridge game. He is detained at the office until late and upon arriving at his home, finds that he has left the key at the office. He has no time to return for it and so makes an entrance into the house through an open window at the back of the residence. He lays out his dress things and proceeds to take a bath. He is seen by the servants and the janitor opposite the house to enter and they think he is a burglar. They telephone for the police. A sergeant and several men arrive and arrest Frank for a burglar.
