The literal translation of the title of this movie is: the Cherry Blossom.

This movie is a touching movie about the friendship between Chinese and Japanese, but technical flaws prevented this movie from being the best.

These flaws includes that the lack of understanding of Japaneses culture, resulting in inaccurate depiction of the habits of Japanese in the movie. Another one is that nearly all of the conversations are done in Chinese, there was not much Japanese spoken in this movie, but then again, it would probably be better than the case of the Chinese actresses and actors trying to speak more Japanese.
