I decided to watch this movie again for the first time since it's release. No it's not an Oscar winner but very few movies like this are and are not intended to be!
I personally get tired of reviews dragging a film down by it's low budget, bad acting, same old plot etc
Yes that's what you expect when going into movies like this!
I personally don't care about the quality of movies compared to Oscar winners. What's important to me is did a film give me 90min of escapism from the horrors of the real world!
If the answer is yes then the movie has achieved it's goal and worthy of some merit regardless of plot, acting, budget and so on.
It's about time people remembered what the idea of watching a film is all about. Escapism!
For the record this was great fun with some cool gore and most importantly escapism from the real world!
