The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • During the scene where Alice Paul learns to drive, there is a fairly heavily implied masturbation sequence. This is the only overtly sexual scene in the movie.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are several scenes of crowd violence against suffragists in the film, which are not very intense. There are also a number of scenes that take place in the workhouse which depict mistreatment (or torture) of women. Most are not objectionable. The worst of these is the scene in which Alice Paul is force fed several eggs after she goes on a hunger strike. She is strapped to a chair and the eggs are poured into a funnel and into a tube that is run down her throat. She chokes and gags as this happens.
