Star Wars Battlefront II Multiplayer Beta Impressions

When the Star Wars Battlefront franchise returned in 2015, now published by EA and powered by Dice and the Frostbite engine, fans hoped for a wonderful experience in the galaxy far, far away. Dice had made a name for themselves with the award-winning Battlefield series, and seemingly knew how to create amazing multiplayer matches that kept fans coming back again and again. Instead, Star Wars fans were met with a barebones, multiplayer-heavy shooter that captured the universe well, but quickly wore out its welcome due to few game modes, no story/campaign mode, limits on troop type, and a noticeable absence of classes. Now, EA and Dice have seemingly corrected that with Star Wars Battlefront II, and this past weekend, they held an open multiplayer beta, giving fans a taste of what’s to come when the game launches on November 17th.

Meet the Adorable ‘Home Run’ Babies Conceived After the Chicago Cubs’ Historic World Series Win
It’s been about nine months since the Chicago Cubs were named the 2016 Major League Baseball World Series winners — and local hospitals are noticing a spike in births.

Just last week, Advocate Health Care in Illinois honored the arrival of the aptly named “World Series Babies” all born this summer.

“We calculated nine months after the World Series. We thought these little ones would be coming,” Mary Terry, the Women and Infants Service Line manager at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, Illinois, tells People. “We were waiting for them.”

She adds, “We’ve kept having more and more. It’s unbelievable!

The Top 3 at E3

Andy Naylor with the top three of E3 2017…

Let me be honest from the start, this started as a top 5 list to begin with, but I had to bump 2 trailers off the list. Super Mario Odyssey, I have no doubt, will be another cracking game in the Mario catalogue, however, I couldn’t in good conscience make anyone sit through that incessant and sickly chirpy music one more time. It nearly drove me insane so how could I possibly include it? After that a Top 4 just sounded weird, so Anthem was cut. The reasons you ask? Deeply personal. Bioware make (or is it no made) amazing RPG games, arguably some of the greatest of all time. I am referring to the amazing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. So with that disappointment in mind, the very Destiny-looking Anthem gets chopped off the list. Disagree? Well it’s

Insomniac Teases New Game; Full Reveal In Two Days

  • Cinelinx
The Resistance and Ratchet and Clank developers are at it again, and this time they seem to be diving under water.

The teaser asks "what's next?" and that is about all we get out of it, besides the under water theme. There seems to be a 2D art style to it too, but that could just be a perk of the teaser and not the game itself.

A full reveal is coming January 28th at 9:30 Am Est so we will have all the information for you right here on Cinelinx when that happens.

The last game Insomniac released was Sunset Overdrive for the Xbox One, which was recieved rather well. They also have a Ratchet and Clank reboot coming out for PS4 soon (April) that will release alongside a theatrical movie. The studio is also working on Rift (Vr) title called Edge Of Nowhere.

The studio is rather spread

10 Severely Underrated RPGs You Need To Check Out

Bioware

If the video game RPG genre was a human being, it’d be that kid who was a bit of an outsider in school; probably bullied and laughed at for playing with his imaginary friends, but never complained, kept doing their thing, and went on to be successful and appreciated by people later in life.

Yes, the genre that has its origins in niche tabletop games has become the dominant force of video games. Just look at the top games of 2015, a year in which you can easily argue that the five best games were all RPGs (The Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Undertale, Bloodborne and Pillars of Eternity, by my reckoning). The genre has exploded, and sorcery and dragons are actually cool in today’s culture.

But the dominance of franchises like Elder Scrolls, Fallout and The Witcher means that there are tens of RPGs that missed out on the mainstream spotlight.

Brawl Review: Strong Art Direction, Tired Gameplay

Brawl is a new game from Bloober Team, who created last year's abysmal Basement Crawl. The last game suffered from confusing story elements and relying on a tired, old gameplay design -- in this case, a Bomberman clone -- Basement Crawl was not a very good game, and we said so in our review.

Brawl hopes to right the ship, as Bloober Team reuses some assets from the previous game in hopes of trying to come up with a winning combination. The end result is very hit or miss.

The "twisted toys" art direction is still the best part of the package, and in Brawl, that art looks even better. The evil killer clown, terrifying baby doll/puppet, and bloody teddy bear -- three of eight different characters to choose from -- looks as good as the characters in the Borderland games, and even uses the same cel-shading style.

But as the game gets going,

Watch Heat vs Spurs NBA Finals Live Free Online Streaming Game 4 Basketball

So much for the Miami Heat's illustrious playoff home winning streak. The San Antonio Spurs had no intention of letting the Heat keep the home field advantage they stole in Game 2 and came out hotter than any team in NBA history in Game 3. The result was a thorough whipping that left LeBron James and the Heat searching for answers.

With Game 4 tonight, the Heat can potentially let this series get away if they don't find a defensive answer for the Spurs offense. A Miami win will send this series back to Texas all knotted up, while a loss will require the Heat to win three games in a row, including two on the road, to complete their quest for a three-peat.

The last game was over before it really began as the Spurs came out for the first game in Miami and barely missed a shot. In fact, they hit

Nike Releases Awesome Animated Film The Last Game Ahead Of FIFA World Cup; Features Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney

The 2014 FIFA World Cup is set to start on June 12 in Brazil, with the USA’s first match on June 16th against Ghana.

To celebrate the World Cup, Nike Football has released part three of its #riskeverything campaign in the form of an awesome film - The Last Game. It’s a five-minute animated feature starring some of the world’s greatest footballers on a mission to save football from the hands of a villainous mastermind, The Scientist.

The Scientist – a suave, smooth operating genius – has been analyzing the game for years. He is dismissive of the audacious risks that the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Neymar Jr. take on the pitch. His research, which includes the claim that Ibrahimovic’s overhead kicks have a 76 percent chance of missing, leads him to create The Clones, automatons programmed to remove all risk-taking and focus only on efficiency, decision-making and results.

‘Yoshi’s New Island’ – Even nostalgia has its ups and downs

One of Nintendo’s most adorable characters is the star of another game and it’s in the third game of a beloved series, Yoshi’s New Island. Yoshi is back at it with Baby Mario and the mission is the same as before: Save Baby Luigi. The story starts with baby Mario and Luigi, like all babies, being delivered to their parents via stork. But the stork must have gotten the wrong address, because the lovely couple that came to the door wasn’t expecting any babies. In panic, the stork rushes to get this problem resolved. Then suddenly, Kamek and his gang attack and snag baby Luigi away whilst Mario falls to the island full of different color Yoshis. From there, the adventure begins. There’s no real explanation why and how Baby Luigi got kidnapped again or if it’s even following some sort of Yoshi’s Island canon,

FIFA 14: 9 Reasons Why It’s Going To Be The Best FIFA Yet

  • Obsessed with Film
FIFA 14 is out a week today and gamers still hooked on recently-released Grand Theft Auto 5 are going to have something new to obsess over come next weekend.

Much is expected from EA’s upcoming football simulation title following the release of the demo recently to great fanfare as well as positive reviews in these early stages of pre-release.

And if FIFA 14 is as successful as its predecessor, 13, it is going to be a smash hit.

The last game went on to become the biggest videogame launch of 2012 with 7.4 million units sold four weeks after its release.

And we have a sneaky feeling the latest iteration in the long-running series is going to be similarly successful, and here are 9 reasons why.

9. The Soundtrack

The soundtrack of any game is important, particularly when you spend as much time scrolling through options menus and loading screens as you do in the FIFA series.

Abrams: Trek Video Game Hurt "Into Darkness"

"Star Trek: The Video Game," a game based on the J.J. Abrams reboot of the Trek franchise, remains one of the most critically reviled games of the year so far.

Abrams was well aware of the reaction, in fact he took the blow personally and in recent interview even went so far as to say the disappointment over the game may have had a direct impact on the so-so critical reaction to "Star Trek Into Darkness". He tells Gamer Hub TV:

"The last game, which was obviously a big disappointment to me, was something that we were actually involved in at the very beginning and then we sort of realized it was not going in a place where we were going to get what we wanted, so we dropped out and they continued to do it despite... y'know.

To me the video game could have been something that actually

J.J. Abrams Took The Latest, Crappy Star Trek Video Game Very Personally

by Matt Hawkins

One of the summer's hottest flicks, Star Trek Into Darkness, was the recipient of one of the year's worst tie in games.

And while crappy video game adaptations of motion pictures is not entirely a new thing, it was still pretty bad, and hit particularly close to home for the source material's director.

According to Polygon, citing a report from GamerHubVideos, Abrams and his associates were actively involved in the game, which simply goes by Star Trek:

"The last game, which was obviously a big disappointment to me, was something that we were actually involved in from the very beginning and then we sort of realized it was not going in a place where we were going to get what we wanted, so we dropped out and they continued to do it despite... y'know."

The end result was a game that not only offended Abrams on a very personal level,
