Great naming with a very symbolic title

The literal translation of the title of this movie is: After the Rainstorm.

This movie made in the early era of the Chinese reform is one of the few movies that had a very good naming because the title was very symbolic. As a matter of fact, there probably would not be many Chinese movies that surpass this one.

This movie is a social criticism on the Cultural Revolution, which could be the equivalent rainstorm in the contemporary Chinese history.
