  • Gergana and Roydyu are in love. But Gergana has been promised to the Dragon who is to take her away. The two young people decide to go to mountains where Roydyu is to spend winter tending the flocks. Gergana's father forbids his daughter to go. Gergana, tormented and kept under lock and key, manages to escape. The two are happy together but they cannot free themselves of the sense of doom. As if in a trance Gergana often speaks of the Dragon who will come and take her in another world. The winter is over - he is up in the mountain with the shepherds, she is down in the village. The village fest is at its height. Alone in her room Gergana hears the Dragon's voice summoning her to go with him... Roydyu is offended but his love prevails and he sets out to look for the Dragon and take by force the future bride. After wandering in the forest for hours he finds Gergana. Tearful but happy she falls in his arms.
