Sex & Nudity

  • First 3 mins of show - A man and woman have a sword fight cutting each other's clothes off piece by piece, until they are both just wearing skimpy underwear.
  • 00:14:15 - A humanoid female robot has her clothes ripped off and her breasts are fully exposed.
  • In another episode stylized male and female nudes embrace.
  • 00:25:05 - Many humans are seen naked briefly as the machines experiment on them.

Violence & Gore

  • Some of the episodes are extremely violent, and are certainly above a PG-13 rating.
  • A man is stabbed with a katana, and we briefly see blood gushing out.
  • A man is ripped apart by machines; we only see it for a second but his arms and legs are removed and blood spurts.
  • A man's head is crushed by a robot and we see a lot of gore and brains.
  • A man is shot, and we see some blood on him.
  • A teen apparently jumps to his death, though we do not graphically see this.
  • A humanoid female robot is beaten and humiliated; her breasts are exposed and she is beaten by laughing soldiers.
  • Some dead bodies are seen with blood.
  • When machines are experimenting on humans, some of them are ripped apart and it is pretty gory.
  • Other moderate violence throughout.

Profanity

  • Fairly infrequent, mild language. A few uses of "damn" and "hell", and one "bitch".
  • The content advisory on the DVD says "one use of strong language", though I cannot think what or where this is in the film.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In one film, a man smokes what could be cannabis.
  • A detective is seen smoking in detail.
  • There is a scene at a bar where people drink.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Only the "Final Flight of Osiris" short was rated by the MPAA (which is what the PG-13 rating is for), all other shorts in this collection were not submitted for rating and thus are unrated.
  • Rated PG-13 for language, sci-fi action violence and sensuality (Final Flight of the Osiris only).
  • The segment The Second Renaissance has a very creepy tone to it, and is quite disturbing at some parts. Most of that which is listed in the violence section falls under this category, also.
