Character error
When Mays is wrestling, we see a sign that says "Mays for Pres" being held up in the crowd. In the next few shots, the same sign is upside down.
Continuity
During the wrestling match, several people in the background are seen holding campaign posters depicting Mays and his brother as running together. At this point in the film, his brother had not been announced as his running mate.
When Mays gets picked up in the car he is soaking wet. Then when he gets out of the car his suit is completely dry.
Prior to the fight scene between Mays and Mitch, Mays pauses the video game he's playing. However, the screen shots of the video game change between shots.
Crew or equipment visible
When Gilliam is walking on the sidewalk when the car is about to pick him up, the sprinklers that are producing the rain are visible on the other side of the street.
Errors in geography
The city of Washington, D.C. does not have aldermen, but councilmen. Nor is there a 9th ward, there are only 8.
When the presidential candidates are visiting a school in Florida, the ambulance seen in the background belongs to the Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Department of Carroll County, Maryland.
Florida State Trooper Vehicles are two-toned with a cream color on the rear and black on the front. There also is no shield on either of the doors.
School buses in the State of Florida do not have the name of parishes on them. Florida has counties, so all school buses in the state have the name of the county followed by district schools on them.
Factual errors
The car cannot be towed the way it was (with its rear wheels on the ground) since there was no way for them to release the hand-brake - the only possibility would be lifting the car and towing it on a platform truck.
Revealing mistakes
When the Californians are rushing to vote, extras can be seen running out from BETWEEN the houses, instead of from inside the houses.
When Mays promises to drive Mr. Hawkins to work if the bus line gets shut down, the clock on the wall is stopped.
After Mays sees his ex-girlfriend in the restaurant sharing a drink and it starts to rain, the reflection in the windows show that the sky is clear and blue, so it's very unlikely to be raining.
When the Gaines for President bus rolls through the Midwest, with the light behind it, you can see that the bus is empty.
When Mays Gilliam is speaking at the "Pimps & Hoes" rally, you can see a "ho" in the background mouthing the words of his speech.
