Stripping Down

Trapeze Disrobing Act (1901)

This two-minute film from Edwin S. Porter and Edison features a woman on a trapeze who begins to disrobe during her act to the delight of a couple men watching. Apparently this act was quite famous back in the day, which is why Edison put it on film and sold it to the public for a good five-cents. For the most part there's nothing overly bad with the film but at the same time there's really not anything good either. The trapeze performer is good but it's certainly nothing overly impressive. The real highlight are the two men who are acting like teenage boys as they watch the woman strip down to something that won't even raise a eye today.
