At 52:07, the shot of cholera victims being carried through Paris in carts has clearly been reversed (the English signs on the carts read backwards); this is reused footage from the same director's England, My England (1995).

One actress is billed in the closing credits as "Secretary of Iwas". This should read "Secretary of Iwaszkiewicz".

At 1:21:34, as Chopin strides through George Sand's house, he passes some very twentieth-century fittings (including what appears to be a washing machine).

At 58:40, Chopin vomits into what is clearly a twentieth-century sink.

At 1:43:21, when Iwaszkiewicz says "Like Madame Czernicka", the last word appears to have been dubbed in.

When the infant Chopin plays for Grand Duke Constantine, what the duke says does not match his lip movements.

At 1:45:27, in the funeral scene, Sydow is speaking about Chopin, but then when we cut to a long shot of the coffin being lowered into the grave, he is not speaking (although his voice can still be heard).
