Maria Magdalena: Rabbi, can a woman like me hear your word?
[Apostles protesting]
Jesús: God make his sun rise on good and bad, and sends rain on the just and sinners. Come Mary Magdalene.
Maria Magdalena: Oh, you know my name, you know me.
Jesús: There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that has been not knowing. From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. It's not you that has come to tempt me? But the 7 demons you have inside.

Good movie, A classic about the life of Jesus in Mexican Cinema
1 June 2011 | by rafaelg1991See all my reviews

I have this movie on DVD, and I love the music, conduced by Enrico Cabiati, and this movie should've been released in 1972, instead of 1971, but never mind the year, There were very good actors you see most of the movie Claudio Brook who portrays Jesus, Rita Macedo who portrays the Virgin Mary, Carlos East who plays Herod Antipas, etc., but I like this movie, a couple of times is aired in Univision in the US, A lot of people like El martir del calvario as their best movie of the life of Jesus in Mexican cinema, but one thing when it gets to the scene of the flagellation and the crowning of thorns, the music gets kind of intensive, and when it's the scene when Jesus is almost at Golgotha. Good movie. But Alfredo Zacarias who was the producer of the film, should've signed a little bit of more actors and actresses in those days, for example, Nora Larraga 'Karla', Enrique Ponton, Ramon Valdes, Carlos Villagran (but in a minor role as a soldier), Irlanda Mora, etc.. But it's good movie.
