    Okay
Agnes Vernon and Lt. Hobart Henley are in love. When he receives orders posting him to the Philippines, he writes her that they can be married and honeymoon in that tropical paradise. Afges' father,Frank MacQuarrie, however, says he sees no future in being the wife of a soldier.

It's a nicely done short subject of a young girl's defiance of parental authority for the man she loves, and it's handled all right. Of more interest, however, is the provenance of the copy. It was discovered in the Eye Institute's enormous Jean Desmet collection and posted to their YouTube site. In 2019, the San Francisco SIlent Festical did a more thorough restoration, and now have posted it to their online site. Although there's nothing outstanding about it, it's a charming trifle.
