Plot Summary

Paul Callan investigates modern miracles for the Catholic Church. While working on a case involving a terminally ill boy who supposedly can heal people, Paul witnesses his true miraculous power but also faces a sinister demonic entity known as Darkness. However, the Church dismisses all his findings, so the ever more disillusioned Paul quits and continues his work with private investigators, the scholarly Alva Keel, who believes that Paul is on a path to become a powerful force for either good or evil, and his aide Evelyn Santos, who used to work as a cop.
