Marvin Gaye’s 1972 lost album, You’re the Man, will finally be released March 29th, just days before what would’ve been the musician’s 80th birthday, April 2nd. You’re the Man was supposed to be the follow-up to Gaye’s 1971 classic, What’s Going On. Gaye recorded the tracks for the would-be record in Detroit and Los Angeles during a particularly prolific period, but none of them – save the titular single – were released at the time.

Accompanying the You’re the Man announcement is a mesmerizing new mix

Performer of the Week: Lecy Goranson
The Performer | Lecy Goranson

The Show | The Conners

The Episode | Miracles (Nov. 20, 2018)

The Performance | If you’re still searching for a silver lining in the untimely death of Roseanne Conner, look no further than the refreshing new life it has breathed into her daughter Becky — by way of underrated portrayer Goranson — on The Conners.

The Becky in The Conners is louder, brasher and more manic, but she’s also more insecure, vulnerable and grounded. That’s partly because, with Roseanne gone, the writers have more time to explore what’s behind the character’s basket-case tendencies (see: the ongoing arc

But a year before her 1978 debut album The Kick Inside, Bush was learning stage presence and establishing her career with the KT Bush Band, a rock and soul group that blended Bush’s original material with covers like Rolling Stones’ “Honky Tonk Woman,” Marvin Gaye’s

TV's One-Hit Wonders: Forever, Pitch, Bunheads, The Grinder and 40+ More One-Season Shows We Still Miss

TV's One-Hit Wonders: Forever, Pitch, Bunheads, The Grinder and 40+ More One-Season Shows We Still Miss
A new fall TV season has finally arrived, and it’s got us feeling a bit nostalgic for long-gone series that never made it to Season 2 (or beyond). Don’t get us wrong: We’re still hooked on long-running series like Grey’s Anatomy and The Big Bang Theory, and there are plenty of sophomore-year standouts that we’re happy to have back on our screens.

But we’d be lying if we said we didn’t miss Pitch, or The Mayor, or Almost Human, or any of the dozens of quality series that were prematurely axed by the networks that aired them.

Veteran Frisco Rocker David Freiberg on Keeping Jefferson Starship’s Legacy Alive

Veteran Frisco Rocker David Freiberg on Keeping Jefferson Starship’s Legacy Alive
“I’m not the first rock & roll octogenarian, am I?” jokes David Freiberg, hours before he and Jefferson Starship are set to take the stage in Carson City, Nevada.

Frieberg, who turns 80 today, is right; he’s not the only pop act still performing regularly in his eightieth year. From Frankie Valli and British blues stalwart John Mayall (both 84) to R&B veteran Sam Moore (82) to folkies like Peter Yarrow and Tom Paxton (both 80), Freiberg is joining a small, prestigious club. But he’s unique in other ways. He’s

Flashback: Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson Sing a Stunning Duet on ‘Soul Train’

Flashback: Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson Sing a Stunning Duet on ‘Soul Train’
Smokey Robinson joined Aretha Franklin for a stunning rendition of the Robinson-penned “Ooo Baby Baby” on Soul Train in 1979.

At the time, Franklin was going through a commercial drought: Her last Top 20 crossover hit was released in 1974, and she hadn’t had much success with the disco wave that was sweeping the nation. Robinson was also several years removed from a pop hit, though his 1975 LP A Quiet Storm proved to be one of the most influential R&B albums of the Seventies, and few months after this performance, “Cruisin” went Top Five.

Random Roles: Skeet Ulrich talks about Riverdale, Scream, and the only time he ever got fired

Welcome to Random Roles, wherein we talk to actors about the characters who defined their careers. The catch: They don’t know beforehand what roles we’ll ask them to talk about.

The actor: Skeet Ulrich may have spent years suffering the slings and arrows of critics who’ve described him as Johnny Depp Lite (not to mention far worse things), but it’s easy to endure these sorts of remarks when you’re in a bona fide box office sensation like Scream and co-starring in a film that‘s nominated for Best Picture (As Good As It Gets), even if your role does end up getting cut down dramatically. In recent years, Ulrich has spent the majority of his time on television, starring in such short-lived cult favorites as Miracles and Jericho, but he’s just been upped to series-regular status on the latest CW sensation, Riverdale. If you

Tfw 2015: Skeet Ulrich Tells Us His Favorite Scary Movie

  • Cinelinx
I attended the 2015 Texas Frightmare Weekend the same way I do every year. This year I decided to come up with a plan of attack for my interviews and convention coverage. One of the main themes of this year's Texas Frightmare Weekend was the Scream films. I decided to ask all the actors at the event a two-part question that was relevant to the Scream theme: "What's your favorite scary movie and why?"

The first interview I posted from Texas Frightmare Weekend 2015 was with Star Wars voice actor Joseph Gatt for "May the 4th Be With You" and "Revenge of the 5th" Days. I think it's only fitting to follow up that timely post with the next sensible one. I had the opportunity to pose the question to Scream's Billy Loomis himself, Skeet Ulrich. Aside from the original movie that kickstarted that franchise, he's also appeared in The Craft,
