Bleak and gloomy Spanish film with high doses of violence , darksome moments and starred by a stellar cast as George Corraface , Ana Fernandez and Emilio Gutierrez Caba . Tension, suspense, and unsettling scenes when a cop and his family is harassed by a dangerous criminal and dealing with a mysterious series killer who executes slaughter . The son of a cop is murdered , at the crime scene comes the Police Inspector named Jaime (George Corraface) . But the murderer has had a lovely relationship with his wife (Ana Fernandez) and he seeks reckoning . Meanwhile , a reporter (Ana Otero) is investigating the deeds . The family in its own home is besieged and terrorized by the psycho-killer attacker and the Inspector looks for some twisted means to chase the murderous . Jaime's relentless pursuit leads to Lazaro (Emilio Gutierrez Caba) at a final confrontation but surprises and twists emerge .
Trilling , darkling picture about a children killer that contains chills , shocks , suspense , plot twists , grisly murders and numerous creepy scenes . Mirk and disturbing film that contains intrigue , action , suspense , twists and turns . This twisty film packs terrifying and hair-raising frames and images of blood and gore . It's darkly rendered and wildly thrilling . The picture's taut, intense and with propulsive murk momentums . This is a shadowy, sharp-eyed Spanish crime drama with intriguing narrative written by the same director who debuts in this crime flick ; being well developed , as we are interested on the events are we are really cared what happens to this people . This violent , murky story is filmed in naturalist and eerie style and some takes with camera over shoulder and Steadicam . While the look is suitable creepy and frightening, the argument spreads to the breaking point and the ending turns out to be a little frustrating . Good acting by protagonist trio such as Georges Corraface as Jaime , Ana Fernández as Julia and special mention to Emilio Gutiérrez Caba as an ominous psycho killer named Lazaro . Pretty good support cast such as Alberto Jiménez as Ivan , Magüi Mira as the forensic Virginia , Carlos Kaniowsky as Tony , Hector Colome and Ana Otero . Suspenseful and thrilling musical score by Luis Miguel Cobo . Dark and shaded cinematography by Juan Miguel Azpiroz , shot in Madrid and Barcelona ; filming in night , obscure settings and plenty of rain , similarly to ¨Seven¨ . The motion picture is strangely directed by Miguel Angel Vivas , an expert on rare , dim atmosphere as he also proved in ¨Secuestrados¨ that tells the story of how a Spanish family suffers an express kidnapping that takes place during one single night and is handled by a group of criminals from Eastern Europe , it achieved undoubted success and important reputation . "Reflections" ,International/English title, is a strong , abstruse film and quite a few impact, though failed at Spanish Box office . In spite of its violence and slow-moving narrative ¨Reflejos¨ results to be an acceptable and passable thriller .
