Bio-thriller Strange Nature Births a Monster: A Film Review

full disclosure: an online screener of this film was provided by distributor October Coast. Director/writer: James Ojala. Cast: Tiffany Shepis, Stephen Tobolowsky, Lisa Sheridan, John Hennigan and Bruce Bohne. Strange Nature is an eco-horror or bio-thriller film. This title was developed by first time feature film director and make-up effects guru James Ojala. This title features: Tiffany Shepis (Victor Crowley), Lisa Sheridan ("CSI: Miami"), Bruce Bohne and a few others. Fans of Shepis will be disappointed as she appears in only a couple of scenes. However, Strange Nature does bring a lot of interesting characters to the screen, including former pop star and protagonist Kim Sweet (Sheridan). A micro-budget feature, much of the production value is put into the many deformed creatures on-screen. As well, Strange Nature offers a few comedic bits, before moving into more horrifying territory. This film offers both light and dark tones as one town struggles to.

The Actor Who Plays Mayans Mc's Ez Had a Role in One of Your Favorite Teen Movies

The Sons of Anarchy spinoff, Mayans Mc, is getting plenty of buzz, and you might be wondering why Jd Pardo, who plays Ezekiel "Ez" Reyes, looks a bit familiar. He's not a household name quite yet, but if you're a fan of a few not-so-popular fantasy or sci-fi titles or of a very popular Hulu teen show, that might be why he has a face you recognize.

If you grew up slightly obsessed with A Cinderella Story - and, be honest, who didn't? - you most definitely came across Pardo in one of his earliest roles. He played Ryan, one of Austin's (Chad Michael Murray) jock friends. After that, Pardo popped up in a slew of other teen-oriented projects during the mid 2000s. He had guest spots on Veronica Mars and The Oc and a two-episode arc on the revived 90210 in 2010.

The song from Mani Ratnam's Dil Se (Uyire in Tamil), is best remembered for Malaika Arora dancing on top of a moving train with Shah Rukh Khan. Probably the most popular number from the album, Ar Rahman's 'Thayya Thayya' and the Hindi version 'Chayya Chayya' became overnight superhits. The Hindi song, in fact, featured as one of the top 10 songs of all-time in an international poll conducted by BBC World Service. Terry Crews: Even a Pie to the Face Full of Bees Is Funnier Than Your Stupid Rape Jokes (Video)
Samantha Bee and Terry Crews teamed up to create a hilarious public service announcement on “Full Frontal,” urging unfunny people to stop making jokes about male sexual assault.

“When we talk about men and sexual assault, it’s usually about whether some slimeball was falsely accused or not, but false accusations are as rare as a fun bachelorette party,” Bee said, kicking off the segment with a monologue.

“The truth is about 1 out of 33 men in the U.S. have been victims of attempted or completed rape, meaning men are vastly more likely to be sexually assault than to be falsely accused of rape,” she continued. “Sexual assault of men is a real problem, and not a joke, despite the way we tend to talk about it.”

Samantha Bee Invokes ‘CSI: Miami’ to Mock CBS Response to Les Moonves Scandal
Samantha Bee ended her “Full Frontal” monologue Wednesday night by invoking “CSI: Miami” to criticize how CBS has responded to accusations of sexual misconduct against its CEO, Les Moonves.

“In the words of one of the immortal characters he helped create: ‘It’s time for this Moonves to be eclipsed’,” Bee said at the end of her monologue as she put on a pair of sunglasses. The gag was a reference to David Caruso’s “CSI: Miami” character, Horatio Caine, who routinely puts on sunglasses to emphasize a pun related to the murder case he’s currently investigating.

Last week, Moonves was accused of sexually harassing six women in a New Yorker article by investigative journalist Ronan Farrow. Notably, two of the women said Moonves physically intimidated them or threatened their careers in order to keep them quiet. Moonves has denied the accusations, and CBS is currently conducting an investigation.
