Storyline
Horatio Caine, a former homicide detective, heads a group of investigators who work crimes amid the steamy, tropical surroundings and cultural crossroads of Miami. His team includes Calleigh Duquesne, a bilingual Southern beauty with a specialty in ballistics; Tim Speedle, a cocky yet disarming investigator who is well connected on the street, and Eric Delko, an underwater recovery expert who knows all the twists and turns of the Florida waterways. Rounding out the team is Alexx Woods, the no-nonsense, know-it-all coroner. And, after Speedle is killed in Action, Former Patrolman Ryan Wolfe joins the team. Together, these investigators collect and analyze the evidence to solve the crimes and to vindicate those who often cannot speak for themselves -- the victims. Written by

Goofs
When the CSI's and detectives are interviewing someone or working crime scenes, they are never seen taking notes or sketching the crime scene. Real CSI's and detectives are constantly taking notes and sketching. The notes and sketches are so important that they are occasionally booked into evidence to ensure the originals will be available for review before trial.

CSI: Miami is a fun show to watch, like the original CSI:. But the chemistry in the original isn't quite there.
Grissom, in CSI:, is interesting, deep, and can easily be believed to be as smart as he is. But Horatio in CSI: Miami seems a bit more flat, and his bright moments seem cheesy and scripted.
Other characters don't seem to grow in CSI: Miami, while there's clear changes in their CSI: counterparts. Also, the side stories are more interesting in CSI: than in CSI: Miami.
So, while I'll watch CSI: Miami, it's not growing on me like how the original did.
