Silly Hodgepodge of Comic Strip Characters
27 October 2017 | by HitchcocSee all my reviews

Did they ever make a sequel? This takes all the Mort Walker characters and creates a silly plot around them. General Halftrack is given an ultimatum. The big brass is coming to see a prototype soldier whose specifications they have created. Well, as we know, there are none of these in Camp Swampy. So, of course, Sarge is given the task of turning Beetle into this fighting machine in one week. Before long, the tables are turned and it's Sarge who becomes the object of this attack. After that, there is very little to recommend this. Miss Buxley is the only thing worth looking at as the sexist cartoonists create quite an object of desire. But overall, I can see why there was little future for this effort.
