Storyline

A mysterious killer video tape is circulating around. One look at this tape and you have seven days left to live. News Reporter Cindy Campbell (Faris) witnesses this video tape and tries to work out a way to prevent her death. But this is not the only mystery to appear. Crop circles have been appearing in the local farm of Tom (Sheen) and George (Rex). With help from Aunt Shaneequa (Latifah), Cindy suspects that the aliens may be linked with the killer tape and must now work out both mysteries before it's the end of the world. Written by Film_Fan

Trivia

(at around 53 mins) When Cindy is searching about Morton Lighthouse, there are several pop-ups that appear on the screen, but one is not an ad. It says "This may sound overly simplified... but high interest rates eventually cause low interest rates... and conversely... low interest rates eventually lead to high interest rates," with a yellow background. Cindy: Fine.
Tabitha's Voice: Enjoying your last week? I can't wait to see you. Six days now, right?
Cindy: Yeah.
Tabitha's Voice: It was great catching up. Can I speak to Cody?

User Reviews

The trailer was hysterical; the film is a huge disappointment

SCARY MOVIE 3 (2003) * Anna Faris, Charlie Sheen, Leslie Nielsen, Eddie Griffin, Queen Latifah, Simon Rex, Regina Hall, Jeremy Piven, Anthony Anderson, Camryn Manheim, George Carlin, Tim Stack, Darrell Hammond, Pamela Anderson, Jenny McCarthy, Denise Richards, Ja Rule, D.L. Hughley, Drew Mikuska.

(Cameos: Simon Cowell, Master P, Fat Joe, Redman, Method Man, Macy Gray, RZA, Raekwon, U-God) Woefully unfunny chapter of the 'Scary' franchise this time with Faris reprising her role from the first two films as an investigative reporter trying to tie together the possible link of a mysterious videotape ('The Ring') and crop circles ('Signs') with an alien invasion are among those genre films taking aim in this pathetic parody that fails for the most part to elicit true belly laughs (or even a good chuckle) with The Wayans Brothers replaced by ace comedy director David Zucker who surprisingly falters even with his mile-a-minute deliveries and crammed jokes in a sequence deliveries of mostly inane puns, slapstick or the overwrought bathroom humor in place of witty dialogue. Among the other films aped are 'The Others','The Sixth Sense', 'The Matrix' and for some inexplicable reason '8 Mile'. A real disaster and possibly the nail in the coffin to these horror send-ups.
