Better than expected

As a throwback thriller with a little film noir and buddy cop elements tossed in for good measure this film is far more endearing than the low votes here tend to indicate.

Is it a must-see classic? Not exactly but the script is capable, it's great to see Erin Gray in a movie again and the story flows well with enough red herrings thrown in to keep from branding it predictable. The soundtrack is superb. You will recognize Chris Emerson and Paris By Air lending some great tracks here.

If you enjoy the genre and can appreciate the effort you will dig SI. If you're swayed by gargantuan film budgets and A-list celebrities, then move on to something else.
