The ultimate in horror-themed oral hygiene short films for kids.
In 1993, some well-meaning librarian at my elementary school popped the VHS of 'The Haunted Mouth' into the VCR. What followed was a 13 minute short film on dental hygiene that scarred many of my classmates' psyche (mine included)
The film was shot in 1971 and has a fantastic, grainy look to it's picture quality. And the voice over by Cesar Romero features just enough quirkiness to really be unsettling.
I was truly freaked out by this film. And even today, I can still recapture that sense of unease. And for what it's worth, it actually does motivate one to take great care of their teeth.
