ej's kung-fu capsule review for films of the chop-socky old-school - 1. basic plot type - fighting the Japanese; damsel in distress; Bruce lee imitator.2. plot construction - poor.3. dramatic - tries hard and fails.4. funny - unintentionally, especially the opening sequence.5. dialog - miserably cliché.6. cast performance - over-the-top histrionics.7. crew performance - competent at best.8. amount of fighting - lots.9. quality of fighting - very intense; over-use of fast-motion and slow-motion techniques.10. special any cast or crew notes - Korean; has the bigger Korean stars of the genre 11. big positive - entertaining most of the time.12. big negative - very violent, even for this genre; 2 or 3 sequences are very disturbing.bottom-line - who should see this movie - genre completist; too violent and too silly for a general audience.
