Trailer Watch: A Volleyball Team Overcomes Tragedy and Defies Odds in “The Miracle Season”

“The Miracle Season”

“A lot of people are going to see this movie and think that a lot of it was dramatized for the sake of making a movie — and none of it is,” says Erin Moriarty in the final trailer for “The Miracle Season.” The underdog pic is based on a true story and sees the actress playing Kelley, the best friend of her volleyball team’s star player, Caroline (Danika Yarosh). When Caroline dies in an accident, Kelley doesn’t have much time to mourn — as the new captain of the team, it’s up to her to rally her teammates and lead them towards their second consecutive victory at the state championships.

Daunted by the pressure, Kelley is in need of a pep talk from her mom. “[Caroline] brought out your inner strength,” she observes. “You can’t bring out something that isn’t already there.”

Helen Hunt plays the team’s coach.

Margot Robbie's Story About Meeting Ellen and Barack Obama Is Unbelievably, Hilariously Awkward
Let's all spare a thought for Margot Robbie's husband, Tom Ackerley, shall we? The guy, who married the Australian actress at the end of 2016, met some of the most famous people in the world in what we think might be the most awkward circumstances of all time - and Margot has kindly shared the story during her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. While Margot looked a little sheepish about sharing the story of her husband's humiliation, it didn't take long for her to really get into the swing of the story - and oh boy, it's a good one. The Power of the Celebrity Fashion Plate, Decoded

The Power of the Celebrity Fashion Plate, Decoded
To say that Kate Bosworth killed the fashion game on The Long Road Home press tour would be an understatement. Then again, did we expect anything less? We're used to seeing the actress set the style standard, whether that's in a mint-green satin suit or an organza gown with matching bolero. Since her Blue Crush breakout, Kate has embodied a Hollywood fashion plate—her interpretation of trends, feminine styling and longstanding relationships with designers serving as style sustenance. And, yes, we've been gluttonous. Her turns at fashion week and presence at luxury-brand-sponsored galas make us sometimes forget she's an actress and not an influencer or fashion editor. For some, her...
