The Kardashians may have a hit TV show and a slew of best-selling products, but when it comes to fandoms, they can’t keep up with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

On Tuesday, FanSided released their second annual ranking of the top 250 fandoms in the world — which measures the the best fanbases across sports, entertainment, technology, lifestyle and more. And beating out the Kardashians in the 2017 Fandom 250 celebrity vertical was the 45-year-old Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actor, who FanSided said has the best fanbase among the stars.

Journey fans have stopped believing in a reunion performance.

The American rock band was joined by former lead singer Steve Perry at Friday evening’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Perry, 68, was there with former bandmates Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Steve Smith and Ross Valory, along with current lead singer Arnel Pineda, who was not included in the band’s honor.

Train’s Pat Monahan inducted them with kind words. “Tonight I’m here to live out a life-long dream, to induct the heart of San Francisco music into the rock hall,

First Trailer for Dwayne Johnson's Prison Doc 'Rock and a Hard Place'

"Don't squander this opportunity." HBO Documentaries has premiered a trailer for a new doc titled Rock and a Hard Place, featuring Dwayne Johnson (formerly known as "The Rock") sharing his experiences with a program he supports. Johnson tells about his own experiences with the law as a youth, and meets some of the kids currently enrolled in a one-of-a-kind boot camp program for incarcerated youth. This looks like a powerful, and hopefully inspiring, follow-up to Ava DuVernay's incredible documentary 13th - which touches on the troubles with the modern prison system. It looks like Johnson only comes in for a talk once, but maybe he is more prominent in the actual doc itself. I'm curious about seeing this. Check out the trailer. Here's the official trailer for Jon Alpert & Matthew O'Neill's doc Rock and a Hard Place, from YouTube: Inspired by Dwayne Johnson's own experiences with the law as a youth,

‘The Hamilton Mixtape’ Gets A Live Performance On YouTube

Hooking up with The Rock to produce a mock mini-musical about millennials isn’t the only thing Lin-Manuel Miranda’s been up to on YouTube. The creator of the mega-hit Broadway musical Hamilton will be live streaming a live performance of The Hamilton Mixtape on the world’s largest video sharing site, too.

The hip hop musical centered around Alexander Hamilton and the Founding Fathers of the United States immediately pre and post-Revolutionary War has seen unprecedented acclaim and sustained success since its Broadway debut at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in August 2015. (Just last week for instance, the show had its highest-grossing seven-day stretch yet, tallying up over $3.2 million in ticket sales.) And because of that white hot reception, Miranda decided to remix the musical’s soundtrack with several of the rap, hip hop, pop, and indie music scenes biggest stars.

The Hamilton Mixtape is composed of 16 tracks and features The Roots,

CinemaCon Lays Foundation for 2016’s Animated Awards Race

CinemaCon Lays Foundation for 2016’s Animated Awards Race
From a ten-minute preview of Illumination’s “The Secret Life of Pets” to a 27-minute deep dive into Pixar’s “Finding Dory,” this year’s CinemaCon is laying the groundwork for a very competitive animated feature awards race in 2016.

Warner Bros. got the ball rolling Tuesday by presenting a look at “Storks,” from writer-director Nicholas Stoller. The film, co-directed by Doug Sweetland, tells the story of, well, storks, who have transitioned from delivering babies to delivering packages. Complications ensue when an order for a baby appears. Andy Samberg stars alongside Keegan-Michael Key, Kelsey Grammer and Katie Crown.

(WB also touted the Warner Animation Group, which could land future consideration for everything from “The Lego Batman Movie” and “The Lego Movie 2” to a new spin on the world of Scooby Doo and friends.)

Sticking with avian themes, Sony Pictures Animation will be releasing “The Angry Birds Movie” later this year. On Tuesday,

'Kindergarten Cop' the Next Arnold Schwarzenegger Property to Get a Remake

There are good Arnold movies. There are bad Arnold movies. Then there are the Arnold comedies. As a mild career revitalization, Arnold Schwarzenegger became a comedic lead in the '90s, headlining yuk fests of sorts like Twins, Jingle All the Way, Junior and Kindergarten Cop. As Hollywood has started making their way remaking, rebooting or sequelizing Arnold's past projects, it looks like the comedies are next in line, with a remake of Kindergarten Cop in the works. And maybe a TV series too. Unlike most of these reports, we do know whose on board to write and direct this new project. Don Michael Paul, an actor who also helmed hits like Half Past Dead, Who's Your Caddy and Jarhead 2: Field of Fire, will direct, and he works from a screenplay by American Pie writer David H. Steinberg. It should be noted this production comes from Universal's 1440 Entertainment,

Jason Statham: our last action hero (50 million Facebook fans can't be wrong)

The Rock is too big, Sly Stallone is too old and Steven Seagal looks too much like a sea lion. When you need a man who can chop off a gunman’s hand and use it to shoot someone else in the face, there’s only one person who fits the bill

In Homefront, Jason Statham is a tough, uncompromising DEA agent. In Crank, Jason Statham is a tough, uncompromising hit man. In Hummingbird, Jason Statham is a tough, uncompromising homeless man. In In the Name of the King, Jason Statham is a tough, uncompromising farmer.

Jason Statham is nothing if not consistent. Consistent and tough and uncompromising. But that consistency has won him legions of fans – almost 50 million on Facebook alone. You know what you’re getting with a Jason Statham film. He will beat people up. He will crash cars. He will do an unconvincing American accent. And

The 2014 Action Hero Power Rankings

Some years are just great for certain genres, and this year was a great one for action. All across the board were films within different subgenres stepping up and delivering great action set pieces and characters. Consider the shot on the revolving tank gun revealing the totality of carnage in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, or the tight line between insanity and sharp focus with the home invasion scene in The Guest, the shot of Chris Evans plowing through several baddies with an axe in slow motion during Snowpiercer, watching Keanu Reeves dispatching thugs with slick gun-fu in John Wick, or literally any scene from the action opera The Raid 2. Take all that together in the same year (!!!!) and it’s clear to see we’ve been spoiled.

But all that aside, only one person can take the title of 2014’s Action Hero. Action Heroes are like Highlanders,

‘Sniper: Legacy’ Review

Stars: Tom Berenger, Chad Michael Collins, Vasil Enev, Dennis Haysbert, Danko Jordanov, Mercedes Masohn | Written by Don Michael Paul, John Fasano | Directed by Don Michael Paul

Shocking as it may seem given the amount of horror flicks I review here on Nerdly, I’m not just a horror fan. My movie-loving passion is in fact split between three genres: horror, teen comedies and action movies. As much as I can appreciate low-budget horror flicks I can also appreciate low-budget action movies – which, at least from major studios, are few and far between these days. Which is one of the reasons I was excited to check out Sniper: Legacy.

The other reason? Well, as a teenager I used to love Impact Magazine. It really was my film bible, I’d religiously pick up each and every issue from the newsagents near where I used to catch the bus to college; in
