Downbeat and depressing at the most

I love this underrated french dark drama. More a tragedy than a crime flick, and the kind of movie that I don't recommend if you're in the mood to commit suicide. In the line of Olivier Marchall's MR73, but at a lesser scale. The story of a poor lonely man whose the daughter has been killed by four policemen and who goes on rampage in an odyssey of vengeance. He will cross the path of a police officer who is on the right way to perdition. A sort of Nemesis who looks really like him. Jean Pierre Leaud in the desperate cop character is at his right place here. I am not surprised that this movie is totally unknown. Not for wide audiences, but only for waco movie buffs like I am. In resume, a jewel as I literally crave for.
