Meet the Blacks sequel The House Next Door adds Danny Trejo and Rick Ross

Last month it was announced that Friday After Next co-stars Mike Epps and Katt Williams are set to reunite for The House Next Door, a sequel to the 2016 comedy Meet the Blacks, and now Deadline is reporting that Danny Trejo (Machete) and rapper Rick Ross (Magic City) have signed on to appear in the film.

The sequel follows Carl Black (Epps), who has moved his family back to his childhood home after surviving a night of terror in the original movie. However, when his quirky neighborhood becomes host to a mysteriously extravagant pimp (Williams), Carl becomes convinced the new neighbour is a vampire and is trying to steal Carl’s entire family away.

The House Next Door is once again being directed by Deon Taylor and will see Bresha Webb, Zulay Henao, Andrew Bachelor, Lil Duval, Michael Blackson and Tyrin Turner reprising their roles from the original movie. Filming is currently underway in Atlanta.

Mike Epps and Katt Williams to star in Meet the Blacks sequel The House Next Door

Friday After Next co-stars Mike Epps and Katt Williams are set to reunite for the urban comedy The House Next Door, a sequel to Deon Taylor’s 2016 hit comedy Meet the Blacks.

The House Next Door is once again being directed by Taylor and will see Bresha Webb, Zulay Henao, Andrew Bachelor, Lil Duval, Michael Blackson and Tyrin Turner reprising their roles from the original movie.

“Mike and Katt are so comedically explosive together,” said Taylor. “I don’t know how we’re going to keep it together on set with these two at the top of their game, but we’re happy to have this as our problem to deal with! Audiences really responded to Meet the Blacks so we’re happy to give them another dose of dysfunction with House Next Door.”

The synopsis for The House Next Door reads:

After surviving a night of terror and becoming a best-selling author,

Five Things You Didn’t Know about Maz Jobrani

Every time I see this guy I can’t help but think of Moley in Friday After Next. His character was kind of a jerk but he was funny in a kind of pathetic way. The best part is that this was obviously what Jobrani was going for, so it worked perfectly. To be even more honest after looking him up this is the kind of thing he goes for anyway in his act, to make other people laugh by destroying the stereotypes that others have about those from the Middle East. His acts are made to enlighten people and to

Ice Cube confirms Last Friday is in the works

Appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Ice Cube has revealed that development is underway on a fourth instalment of the Friday series, and while it doesn’t have a release date yet, there is a title:

““We’re working on one right now,” said the rapper turned actor and writer. “We’re gonna call it Last Friday.”

Ice Cube didn’t have any other details to offer, but one would assume that he will be starring in the film and writing the screenplay, as he has done with the previous three instalments.

We’ll also presumably see the return of several franchise veterans such as John Witherspoon (Willie Jones) and Mike Epps (Day-Day), although it remains to be seen whether Chris Tucker could be tempted back to the series for the first time since the original.

The first Friday was released back in 1995, and was followed by

Ice Cube recently appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden, where he revealed the news. He didn't say much about it, but when the subject of a Friday 4 came up, he did confirm that he is working on one and that they at least have a title for it at this point, if nothing else. "We're working on one right now. We're gonna call it Last Friday."

Ice Cube Is Scrooge in 'Christmas Carol' Reboot 'Humbug'
As sick as some people might be of Charles Dickens' the Christmas Carol, having Ice Cube play Scrooge might be the defining moment for this often told holiday classic. There is no one more suited for the role, and it might prove to be the best character of his long and storied career as an actor. Universal Pictures picked up the spec script for Humbug in a four-studio bidding war, and Ice Cube is set to headline this Christmas comedy.

Tim Story, who directed Ice Cube in such blockbuster hits as Barbershop and Ride Along, is locked in to helm this contemporary retelling of Charles Dickens' most told tale. In this modern version, Ice Cube will play a wealthy real estate mogul who is, in traditional fashion, shown the errors of his ways by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, leading him on a path to redemption.

How President Kanye Saved the Video Music Awards: MTV, What's Good?
Hail to the chief — our future President Kanye West stole the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, announcing his beautiful dark twisted candidacy for Commander-in-Cheezus. "Yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided to run for President in 2020," he said, after a brilliantly rambling 10-minute-plus speech that had more music in it than any of the night's performances. Kanye's stoned Video Vanguard soliloquy ("we the Millennials, bro!") was this year's Vma highlight, as everybody knew it would be. The whole point of the bash every year is

Oprah Winfrey and Eddie Murphy have all officially signed up to help bring Pryor's life to the big screens, reports Deadline.

Winfrey will play Pryor's grandmother, who raised the comic in the brothel she ran; Murphy, who was attached to the project back in March, will play Pryor's father LeRoy 'Buck Carter' Pryor.

Stand-up comedian Mike Epps was cast to portray Pryor. Epps' past acting credits include Next Friday, Friday after Next and two Resident Evil films.

Kate Hudson is set to play Pryor's widow Jennifer Lee Pryor. The couple were briefly married in the

A Fourth "Friday" Film Could Happen

Still one of Ice Cube's most recognisable screen works has been his "Friday" comedy franchise which began in 1995 and was last seen with 2002's third film "Friday After Next".

Recently Cube spoke with The Wrap and says many of the cast members of the previous films want to proceed with another one which distributor New Line Cinema has recently been considering:

"That's my dream. I think all the parties involved, all the people that's been in the franchise, people from the first one to the third one, want to do another one. We might have to call it 'Last Friday' because it might end up being the last one."

One thing in the way though is some legal rights issues with Cube saying it's up to the studios to work it out and step up:

"It's really up to the movie companies to step up. When they see stuff like this,
