Storyline

Your destination: the 24th century. Your mission: to voyage where few have gone before--behind the scenes of Star Trek: The Next Generation! Join Jonathan Frakes, Next Generation's Commander William Riker, for this fascinating chronicle of Gene Roddenberry's beloved, Emmy Award-winning series. You'll explore the Enterprise, meet the show's stars (and some villainous guest stars), learn special-effects secrets and makeup magic, and finally get the answer to that nagging question, "Where is the bathroom on the Enterprise?" Other highlights include a visit to a Star Trek convention, and a stop at the scoring stage to watch Marina Sirtis (Lt. Commander Deanna Troi) lead the orchestra in a recording session. This program concludes with a special look at the series' thrilling final episode ("All Good Things . . .") and a sneak peak at the crew's movie debut, Star Trek: Generations. So set a course for an adventure like no other. Written by Robert Lynch <docrlynch@yahoo.com>

Himself - Host: Hi, I'm Jonathan Frakes, and we're right here at Stage 9 in the Paramount lot where we're shooting the two-hour finale of Star Trek: The Next Generation. The red light usually means "stay out" because the cast and crew are shooting, don't want to be disturbed, but guess what: we're going in anyway so I can take you behind the scenes, show you how the series is put together, and I'll show you some amazing things you may never have seen before. But before we go where very few have gone before, ...

Boldly go...

This was a behind the scenes special that aired around the time The Next Generation ended it's run all those years ago. The special takes a look at the series' seven year run and more. Features include interviews with the cast and crew, a look at the characters and the sets. It also takes a look at the two hour finale, 'All Good Things...' It was a pretty good one hour special. It's also interesting to watch. Catch a viewing of it, if possible.
