Decent But Uninspired Nikkatsu Rape-Fest...
EVOL66614 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
FLESH TARGET: RAPE! just didn't do much for me. I personally found most of it dull and although I love the sleaze-factor of most of these films - I prefer something with a decent story-line. The end of this one was cool - but everything leading up to it felt kinda dull for my tastes...

Nezu is a drunk and disgruntled office worker who has a hard time controlling his temper and his sexual impulses. After punching his boss and almost losing his job, he goes on a marathon rape-spree targeting some of the hotter chicks at his office. He rapes most of them into "enjoyment", and even gets a promotion at his job after takin' care of one of the boss's secretaries propa-like...

The "twist" ending made FLESH TARGET: RAPE! worth-while, but I found it tame and honestly boring at many points, despite the non-stop rapey action. I'd recommend this one to pinky-completists, but would say that for the "uninitiated" - check out WIFE TO BE SACRIFICED, FEMALE MARKET: IMPRISONMENT, ASSAULT! JACK THE RIPPER, or STAR OF David (aka BEAUTIFUL GIRL HUNTER) for some better examples of this sort of thing...6/10

Sleazy rape comedy
The_Void19 April 2009
Flesh Target: Rape is another hardcore Japanese Pinku movie. I have to admit that I've not seen a great deal of films like this; to be honest, films about rape aren't really my cup of tea and thus I don't generally seek them out. However, I ended up with a copy of this and decided to watch it...and actually, for what it is, the film is fairly decent; despite a running time that only just stretches to feature length and a complete lack of anything approaching a point. Bizarrely, it would seem that the comedy in this film is intentional; which effectively makes it a 'rape comedy'. I bet it's not the only one either. Anyway, the plot simply focuses on a man working in an office. He gets drunk at a party, says something stupid and gets the boot; so resolves to go around raping all the best girls that work where he used to work. However, the next day he actually gets his job back; but decides to just carry on with the whole raping thing anyway.

Naturally the film is very sleazy and since most of it is made up of rape scenes, it certainly won't be for everyone. Despite not being able to show any full frontal nudity; director Yukihiro Sawada approaches his subject material with relish and all of the rape scenes go on for a long time and are as rough and gritty as possible. There's some variety too, and the director shows some ingenuity with the situations leading to these rape scenes. The sleaze factor in the film is suitably high and this obviously suits the subject material very well. Running at around seventy two minutes, the film doesn't have a great deal of time to get into the characters; but at least the runtime is used well. The comedy in the film is suitably black and flows well in the context of the film. It all boils down to a rather clever and unexpected 'twist' at the end. Overall, I have to admit that I did enjoy this film, although I wouldn't go ahead and recommend it to everyone.

Outrageous Nikkatsu sleaze.
BA_Harrison13 July 2022
Outrageous, even for a Nikkatsu Pinku, Flesh Target: Rape is sleazy, misogynistic, incredibly un-PC, and unashamedly wrong on so many levels.

Of the 200 women at his workplace, Takashi Nezu (Keijirô Shiga) has narrowed it down to five that he wants to have sex with, and he's not the kind of man to take no for an answer. His first victim offers him a lift in her car and winds up being raped in a downpour; he attacks woman number two in her apartment; the third target unwisely accepts a ride in the sex maniac's car. Three down, two to go.

Victim number four is a lesbian, but Nezu shows her what she has been missing (and also rapes her girlfriend for good measure). His final conquest is his boss's sexy secretary, who he shags in the executive office (not a euphemism).

Now if this was a Western movie, Nezu would get his comeuppance in the final act, the women exacting brutal revenge on the pervert. However, coming from Japan, a country where bondage is an art, groping is a national pastime, schoolgirls are fetishised, and used women's underwear can be bought from a vending machine, no such retribution occurs. Quite the opposite, in fact...

Firstly, none of the women report being attacked, afraid of what people might think of them. Secondly, not all of the women found their experience unpleasurable, and are happy for more of the same. Lastly, and most fortuitously, the secretary, who is also sleeping with the boss, manages to get Nezu a promotion. The moral of the story is... highly questionable.

6/10. The rough sex scenes soon become repetitive and rather wearisome, but the warped ending, which features absolutely no payback for the rapist, is simply too anarchic for me not to admire. Only in Japan could they get away with something like that.

Warped, technically polished Violent Pinker
fertilecelluloid1 January 2005
An office "loser" becomes a "winner" by sexually assaulting and raping the women he works with -- not to mention (though I will) some unlucky enough to meet him after office hours.

Yukihiro Sawada, director of the brutal ASSAULT!, a truly gritty pink film, makes no concessions to political correctness in this mostly riveting sex pic.

Not quite as stylish as Hasebe's RAPE!, a film with a similar theme, it is, nevertheless, required viewing for fans of cinematic sex and violence hybrids.

Sawada's background in hard-edged crime/yakuza films gives him the good sense to probe, to satisfying results, the warped psychology of the office environment the movie takes place in.

FLESH TARGET: RAPE is an alternative title, as is the simple FLESH TARGET.

There is something gloriously anarchic and wrong about this film and that's why I respect it (and its brethren) so much.

Another violent Japanese pinku eiga flick.
HumanoidOfFlesh18 October 2006
A sexually frustrated office worker hit his boss in the night club. The next day he is told to be demoted to a different position in the company. He gets so disturbed and thus begins his rape rampage-he rapes a number of hard-to-get ladies in his company.Surprisingly the ladies are stimulated by his assault and finally help him in getting promoted.Yukihiro Sawada's "Flesh Target" is one of the countless pink rape flicks produced by Nikkatsu. The rape scenes are brutal and there are tons of sleaze for fans of Japanese exploitation to enjoy. The acting is fine and the cinematography is great.Overall,I liked this film and you should too,if you are into pinku eiga genre.Fans of "Beautiful Girl Hunter" or Yasuharu Hasebe's politically incorrect rape flicks should give it a try.

Violent vintage Japanese Pinku film

Warning: Spoilers
An office worker who is an alcoholic punches out his boss but doesn't get fired. He is assigned the the crappy position and has zero chance at a promotion. He then goes on a rampage raping six woman including five that he works with. The woman end up liking the assaults after a few minutes. One woman that he rapes is engaged to his rival in the office. He goes back for second and thirds with her and she ends up liking the assaults that she breaks off the engagement with the rival. Its a sleazy movie but in subtitles but gets to the point.
