Storyline

The best of the reality series crop is back, with 12 teams of 2 players each racing around the world, trying not to be eliminated at a series of checkpoints in which the last team to arrive is booted from the show. CBS chooses teams with relationships containing at least some tension, especially when the situation involves intense pressure. This season includes such duos as two circus clowns, a gay married couple, a father and son, a recently engaged couple, married couples, and best friends. Written by T.J. Magwire

Trivia

Linda Weaver (Season 8) reluctantly participated in two challenges directly related to racing. One was a go-kart race in Arizona, and the other involved traveling around Talladega Superspeedway in a bicycle. Weaver's husband, Roy, was killed in an accident when he was run over by a race car at Daytona International Speedway in 2004.

She wore a t-shirt with the name "Chris" on it for many legs of the race. Contrary to popular belief, Chris was not the name of her late husband, but her fiancé. See more »

Goofs

When the teams are travelling from Argentina to Mozambique in the fourth episode of the All-Stars series, Phil Keoghan's voice-over states that there are no international flights out of Ushuaia Airport. However, at what the on-screen caption claims is Ushuaia Airport, a Qantas plane is clearly visible. Qantas is Australia's main international airline and would not be present at a solely domestic airport in Argentina (Qantas do, however, fly to Buenos Aires, so the scene was presumably filmed at Buenos Aires' international airport). Good season with a horrible ending
17 August 2005 | by See all my reviews

I just finished watching season three on GSN. Overall, I enjoyed it, but I absolutely hated seeing Zach and Flo cross the finish line first. Every dime of that money should go to Zach for keeping his cool and not smothering Flo in her sleep. That girl has to be the whiniest, most annoying person that I've ever seen on TV. She threatened to quit nearly a dozen times! I was hoping that Zach would knock her upside the head with one of the paddles during the water challenge in the second to last episode. Maybe that would get her to shut the hell up.

Flo is a horrible person who I hope Zach seriously distanced himself from after the race. But knowing him, they're probably still best friends. That dude definitely has something in him that most people do not. In the dictionary, the new definition of the word patience should read "See Zach Behr."
