Showtime has just ordered the new series City on a Hill from Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. The crime series will star Kevin Bacon (The Following), Aldis Hodge (Underground), Jonathan Tucker (Westworld) and Mark O’Brien (Halt and Catch Fire).

City on a Hill is created by Chuck MacLean (Boston Strangler) and based on an original idea by Academy Award winner Ben Affleck. The Death Of Superman Blu-Ray Release Date And Extras Revealed

Being someone who owns each and every DC Universe animated movie, I can’t help but feel how the line is coming full circle.

Back in 2007, Superman: Doomsday began the party by telling a truncated account of the Man of Steel’s demise and resurrection. Awesome as that flick was, I can’t wait to see the story expanded into two films, those being The Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen, the latter of which will debut in 2019.

For the time being, we’re going to focus on the first in the two-part epic that’s providing a new perspective on one of the highest selling graphic novels of all time. Given that milestone, it came as no surprise when last week’s trailer reveal lit the internet ablaze, causing us to suspect that a formal announcement regarding the home video release was set to follow.

USA Network Sets ‘Bourne’ Prequel Spin-Off; Ramin Bahrani To Direct Pilot

What’s going on with the Jason Bourne franchise? Funny you ask. Well, like a lot of properties, it’s moving to television. USA Networks has announced a prequel series to the Matt Damon-led movies called “Treadstone,” named after the top-secret black ops program of the CIA that featured prominently in the ‘Bourne’ franchise.

Fox Entertainment Names New President in Shake-Up as The Fall Season Gets Underway

As the networks prepare to launch their new fall TV seasons, Fox is making a change at the top. Michael Thorn has been named Fox’s new entertainment president, replacing David Madden, who is exiting the network after three years and is rumored to be in contention for the top AMC programming job (which has been empty since Joel Stillerman moved to Hulu).

Thorn was most recently executive vice president of development at 20th Century Fox TV, where he worked on series including the NBC hit “This Is Us,” as well as Fox’s “Empire,” ABC’s “Speechless” and CBS’ “Life in Pieces.” He reports to Fox TV Group chairmen/CEOs Gary Newman and Dana Walden, who announced the appointment on Wednesday morning.

“We’ve worked with Michael for the past decade, and in terms of creative chops and leadership skills, he’s one of the best,” Newman and Walden said in a joint statement.

Former “Agent Carter” writer and co-executive producer Andi Bushell is developing a new workplace drama at The CW, Variety has learned exclusively.

Currently titled “The She Word,” the series would follow four driven female assistants who discover they have been victims of gender discrimination at their boys’ club of a company. They vow to work together to take over by whatever means necessary.

Bushell will write and executive produce, with Deborah Spera also executive producing. The two previously worked together on “Criminal Minds,” where Spera was an executive producer and Bushell was a supervising producer and writer. CBS Television Studios will produce.
