Storyline

Niranjan and Nandini Khanna are very wealthy and live a luxurious life. They have an only son, Rahul Khanna, who has nothing but time on his hands and is bent upon getting into mischief and trouble with the law by racing in his sports car with his close buddies. Usually, he finds his way out by bribing traffic cops. Rahul's luck runs out one time when he wrecks several vehicles while speeding. This time the offense is too serious and he is arrested. DCP Bhosle wants Rahul to do time, but reporter Neha Sengupta wants a unique punishment for Rahul: to do community service in an home for senior citizens. Judge K.R.P. Murthy likes the idea of this unique sentence, and sentences an unrepenting Rahul to a senior citizen's home out in the country. Nandini would prefer that Rahul do the time, and has no reservations of him serving this sentence. Sparks fly when Rahul is introduced to the residents of the senior citizens' home. He refuses to assist anyone, until Prajapati, one of the residents... Written by rAjOo (gunwanti@hotmail.com)

Fantastic movie
5 June 2018 | by fivestaaarSee all my reviews

This movie was released at a wrong time when Abhishek Bachchan movies was not doing well at the box office. Fate of Bachchan changed after this movie and his acting was appreciated in this movie pacing the way for his first sucesss in the movie " Run" . Shararat is a different from the league film which will surprise you with nice story, good direction, good acting and tight screenplay. This is the movie that will entertain you and your family . Abhishek Bachchan and Amrish Puri did a remarkable job, one as a spoilt brat and the other as the one who brings Abhishek back to right path. Hrishitaa is good too. Casting director did a good job. Each and every actor play their part to perfection. Mohnish Behl did a good job as the evil advocate. Ashish Vidyarthi is ok with his cameo appearance. Romesh Sharma and Navni Parihar as Dad and Mom of Abhishek Bachchan are noticeable . All the credit goes to debutant director Gurdev Bhalla for making a nice family entertainer which you will cherish with your family, with elders and children .
