Rachael Newman has developed an interest for murders after she encountered psychopath Patrick Bateman. To further study the subject, she enrolls at the university department for Behavioural and Social Sciences, under the expert leadership of former FBI agent Robert Starkman. Very certain about herself, Rachael has one single goal: to become class assistant. It's a prestigious job as having that position will almost guarantee employment at the FBI. But becoming class assistant is no easy task to accomplish, as the first trouble arises when secretary Gerty Fleck decides she is too young for it. Well when I first heard that American Psycho 2 was not going to have Christian Bale in the starring role I was very annoyed as I, as many of you probably thought he did an amazing job in the first film. But however was quite surprised by the performance of Mila Kunis who I believe could have a bright future ahead of her. It was funny, and quite unexpected for the most part although some parts were too predictable, but what film isn't these days.
Bad points. Well no Christian Bale for a start. William Shatner providing a terrible performance as ever, (how this man ever got anywhere is beyond me). not too many good features on the DVD version.
Overall it was a good film, no a great film. well worth a watch especially if your a fan of the first film.
