Storyline

It´s the story of a real existing person, Chief standing bear. In this play, you see the achievement of him. he went to court and impressed the judge,so native american indians were no longer "things" by law, but men.(1879) that changed a lot. chief standing bear lost his tribe to the white men and only he and his wife and daughter survived. later they parished too. so that was the end of the ponca tribe.
