This chilling tale is about the trauma a busy lady doctor, Dr Priya (Jayaprada) goes through when she hires a new governess, Kiran (Anu Agarwal) for her kids. Kiran is efficient, charming and very good at her job but a series of weird events shatters the peace in the home. Dr Priya gradually discovers a connection between these events and Kiran. Weak and frail after the birth of her second child, Jaya Kapoor, who lives a wealthy lifestyle in New Delhi, along with her businessman husband, Ravi, and daughter, Sahiba, attends the clinic of Gynecologist Rajan Bakshi. He attempts to sexually molest her but she manages to get away, informs Ravi, as well as her Indian Express-employed journalist friend, Nisha Sharma. They not only expose the doctor but also have him arrested and humiliated publicly - compelling him to kill himself. Unknown to Jaya, the shock of Rajan's death results in his pregnant widow, Anuradha, losing her child and embarking on a mission of vengeance. The Kapoors first hire a Gardener, Gangaram, and then subsequently hire Anuradha who is masquerading as Kiran, the widow of an army officer, to look after their children. Jaya Kapoor lives a wealthy life-style with her husband, Ravi, daughter and a new-born baby boy. Jaya and Ravi have a family friend in Varsha who works as a journalist at Indian Express. One day Jaya decides to go to see a doctor, Dr. Rajan Bakshi, as she is feeling unwell. Unfortunately while examining her Dr. Rajan, attempts to molest her. Her luck holds out and she manages to escape, telling Ravi and Varsha who encourages her to file a police complaint against Dr. Rajan, as well as publish this shame-full act on the media, which she does. The case is tried in court and Dr. Rajan is found guilty but things take a turn for the worse when the police go and arrest him. Time passes and Jaya decides to hire a governess for her baby. The Kapoor family is highly impressed with the nanny, Kiran, and how she handles herself. Soon things start to go wrong for the family.
