But the cast of the show have a different perspective on the sitcom phenomenon. During a session of Hollywood Roundtable, Jennifer Aniston recalled how the success of the show and the popularity of her character Rachel Green led to such professional stagnation that she badly wanted the show to end.

"Oh my god, you just exhaust yourself. I could not get Rachel Green off of my back for the life of me. I could not escape and I was just Rachel from Friends, Rachel from Friends. And it's on all the time! And you're just like, 'Stop playing this fucking show.'"

Fortunately, Jennifer Aniston was able to escape the shadow of Rachel with a series of well-received roles on the big screen. The first such role

Why ‘Watchmen’ Star Tim Blake Nelson Loved Acting Behind a Mask

Why ‘Watchmen’ Star Tim Blake Nelson Loved Acting Behind a Mask
A version of this story about Tim Blake Nelson and “Watchmen” first appeared in the Limited Series & Movies issue of TheWrap’s Emmy magazine.

The world of Damon Lindelof’s limited series “Watchmen” is the present-day United States, but it’s a United States that diverged from the country we live in about 35 years ago and has run on an alternate path ever since. Veteran character actor Tim Blake Nelson plays Wade Tillman, a.k.a. Looking Glass, a mysterious detective who, like all police officers in the series’ world, wears a mask — but his is a mirrored head covering that reveals nothing.

Watchmen” presents an alternative version of our world, but it’s one in which the police are brutal and act with impunity, and a group of white supremacists fights a racist war against the government. It’s sci-fi but it feels pretty current.

I credit Damon with

Jennifer Aniston knows a thing or two about perception in Hollywood. The Morning Show star opened up about her experiences trying to break out of a certain mold during The Hollywood Reporter's annual drama actress roundtable discussion with Reese Witherspoon, Rose Byrne, Zendaya, Helena Bonham Carter and Janelle Monáe. "You just exhaust yourself. I mean, I could not get Rachel Green off of my back for the life of me. I could not escape 'Rachel from Friends,' and it's on all the time and you're like, 'Stop playing that f--king show!' (Laughter.) The Good Girl was the first time I got to really shed whatever the Rachel character was, and to be able to disappear into someone who...

Will Jennifer Aniston (‘The Morning Show’) pull off this Emmy feat? Only Edie Falco has ever done it before

Will Jennifer Aniston (‘The Morning Show’) pull off this Emmy feat? Only Edie Falco has ever done it before
For Jennifer Aniston, the Emmys are serious business. At least, they are now. She’s one of the top contenders for Best Drama Actress for her leading role on Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show.” This comes 18 years after she won Best Comedy Actress for “Friends” in 2002. It would be a rare feat for a leading lady to win Emmys for both a drama and comedy series. In fact, the only actress who has ever done it before is Edie Falco. Will Aniston be the second?

Falco won her Emmys in the opposite order. She claimed three Best Drama Actress prizes for “The Sopranos” before claiming Best Comedy Actress for the hospital dramedy “Nurse Jackie” (2010). But even that comedy victory, for playing the title health care worker with an addiction to pain medication, was tinged with drama like a lot of other seriocomic acting winners in recent years like Toni Collette

Dustin Lynch Looks Homeward on His Adventurous New Album, ‘Tullahoma’

Dustin Lynch Looks Homeward on His Adventurous New Album, ‘Tullahoma’
When Dustin Lynch first signed a record deal in the early 2010s and started releasing music, he did his best to play nice and not ruffle any feathers. Like many fresh-faced entertainment-industry aspirants, he was supposed to feel grateful to be in such an enviable position, and also be willing to do whatever was asked of him. But he couldn’t help feeling like he didn’t have agency over his music. As a result, he ended up recording some songs, like “She Cranks My Tractor,” that didn’t feel representative of who he was.

A Report on Bangladesh Film

By Imran Fridaus

Introduction

Bangladesh cinema industry activities are situated in the capital city of Dhaka. This industry generally produced Bengali language films of different styles such as melodrama, social drama, political action film, formula film as well as independent films. Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (Bfdc) has played a center point of supporting and supplying raw materials in filmmaking. In 1898, people of this land first experienced moving images on the screen by the arrangement of a company named Bradford Bioscope Company; though it was limited to elite class audience. This region started producing movies with the short film “The Good Girl” in silent era (Hayat 1987). Within three years, Bangladesh experienced “The Last Kiss” (1931), its first feature length film. Both films were patronized by the royal family the Nawab Family (Hayat 1987). They formed a production company eventually in the 1930s titled as Dhaka East Bengal Cinematograph Society to produce films regularly.

Herman Melville Novella ‘Benito Cereno’ Headed For Space As Sci-Fi Series From Steven Katz & Topic Studios

Topic Studios is developing a scripted TV series based on Benito Cereno, the 1855 Herman Melville novella about the fictionalized revolt of a Spanish slave ship. The series, which will be adapted to take place in deep space, is created by The Knick scribe/co-executive producer Steven Katz, who will write and executive produced project.

Topic Studios will also executive produce alongside Manage-ment’s Dan Halsted and Corinne Hayoun.

Inspired by the novella — considered one of Melville’s finest works as a commentary on slavery, the nature of man and good versus evil — the series will be a science fiction thriller centered on an accidental encounter between a human commercial ship and an alien slave freighter, where the human captain navigates a world of inter-species slavery in a distant future with frightening parallels to our past.

“Benito Cereno is one of Melville’s most thought-provoking short stories, and Steven has been able to retain its essence,

Tim Blake Nelson (‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’) sings, dances and kills, but ‘I could never think of him as a psychopath’ [Exclusive Video Interview]
Tim Blake Nelson first heard about “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs” in 2002, when Joel and Ethan Coen handed him a short script about a cheerful, singing cowboy who often finds himself in violent situations. The filmmaking siblings told him it was one of several western stories that “would be written over the years.” But it wasn’t until 2016 that the final five vignettes were completed and assembled into a feature-length script. Watch our exclusive video interview with Nelson above.

As the titular Buster, Nelson gets to sing, dance and kill on his journeys through the Wild West. But he doesn’t see the character as a villain. “As an actor, you learn early on that you’ve got to advocate for your character,” he explains. “Mostly that means figuring
