Deep below the ocean's surface, looms a vast, magnificently high-tech compound: Sealab. A multi-national scientific station with an annual budget in the trillions, dedicated to the research and exploration of man's final frontier - Sealab's crew is charged with exploring the possibility of underwater colonization. As the Earth's surface, by this time, has gotten just generally crowded, hot, and icky. However, as most government-funded agencies usually are, Sealab is manned by a motley collection of malcontents and screw-ups who were unfit for work in the private sector. They really don't get any research done, but instead spend their time bickering among themselves. Or just plain goofing off. The crew have manipulated their luckless leader, Captain Murphy, into submission, and are content to ride the government clock, raking in fat, hazardous-duty paychecks.Written by
Two episodes ("Dearly Beloved Seed" and "Butchslap") are credited as being written by "mcheshpants420". He was apparently a fan who frequented the message boards on the shows official site with the user name "mcheshpants420." Supposedly, the producers actually accepted his script ideas. It was later uncovered that meheshpants420 was actually Chris Ward aka MC Chris, who voiced Hesh and contributed to the show regularly. It was all part of an elaborate joke. See more »

The best cartoon of today---even over The Simpsons
Being a fan of SOUTH PARK I was eager to look into Adult Swim. I had seen a preview as I work for the local cable company's advertising division. I laughed so hard I nearly passed out (it was the clip of the the FCC sailors cursing back and forth over the FCC mandate). "Thanks a lot for the ****ing back story!" "Hey! You watch your ****ing mouth!"
The show is great for the SCUBA diving humor, the self-digs, and more. I remember the old series and this one is much better. I love SPARKS, he's so cold and cool.
