Porn filler with adultery the theme
12 January 2011 | by lor_See all my reviews

HAPPY YOU COULD COME is a slapdash porn film, revived on Vol. 105 of Something Weird's Dragon Art Theatre series. IMDb has listed it under a bowdlerized title as "Happy You Could Join Us", and the shameless shill for SWV gives "Adultery" as its alternate title.

Adultery is what's happenin' here, as two neighboring couples have sex in the morning, and then we see each one cheating later in the day. One hubby humps the next-door lady, while her husband has sex with his secretary at the office. The stay-at-home housewife also seduces the underage milkman (call him milkboy), leading to the supposedly "comical" final shot of this stinker showing her refrigerator loaded to overflowing with milk cartons. Yuk, yuk, hardy-har-har.

Completely improvised dialog has the cast floundering through most scenes, in which routine sex positions are the only reason they're there. Photography and direction are off-handed so that beyond the obvious XXX shots much of the action unfolds in softcore mode unintentionally. The fans be damned.

"Don" the shill claims in his backliner notes that this is the cast of another SWV offering SEX STATION, but while I recognized Henry Ferris as one of the husbands I can't confirm that the SEX STATION or CHERI ensemble is back in action here.

Use of "The Blue Danube" and Ravel's "Bolero" on the soundtrack seems to be a pointless afterthought.
