Quotes

Dr. Mark Powell: Could you tell me a bit about your boyhood on K-PAX? Where were you born? You were, uh, born, right? K-Paxians have babies?
Prot: Oh, yes. Much like on Earth, but unlike you humans, the reproductive process is, uh, quite unpleasant for us.
Dr. Mark Powell: Could you compare the effect to something that I might understand. Like a toothache...?
Prot: It's more like having your nuts in a vise, except we feel it all over. And to make matters worse, the sensation is associated with something like your nausea accompanied by a ...

The movie is OK, but it's a remake
28 November 2001 | by mashete_2000See all my reviews

K-Pax is a good movie. Spacey plays well as a mental patient-alien, and the movie never goes overboard with drama. Let's say that it is well balanced.

What surprised me from K-Pax was its similarity to an 1980's Argentine film entitled "Man Facing Southeast", directed and WRITTEN by Eliseo Subiela. The movie is about... guess... a man who appears suddenly in a mental hospital claiming that he comes from outer space, and through the movie, he helps people. You can check this out on this site, just look for the film I mentioned. Is this a uncredited remake or what?
