Armenia saw this movie about 15 years ago. Every weekday, at exactly the same time, people no longer lived their lives - they lived in "Kassandra." It was an hour of escape, preceded by long discussions and followed by interesting predictions.
Nearly everyone who had a TV, or who had a neighbor with a TV, gathered their families and friends around to watch "Kassandra." It is true that new ones came over the years and now it'd be very hard to find this series in Armenia. However, "Kassandra" is very much alive in our cultural memory. Similar to the way Judas has come to represent a "traitor," many of the names have been immortalized and continue to be used after nearly 20 years of its broadcast.
I gave it 10 stars because in its days, it has given me entertainment unparalleled to this day.
