Expension pack for 'Baldur's Gate'. The two new areas are the small town of Ulgoth's Beard, where you learn of the legend of Balduran, and a tough-as-nails area called Durlag's Tower, a death-trap for foolish adventurers.
The main character, ward of mystical monk Gorion, whose name, sex, race and class are defined by the players, leaves his order's keep for the first time and starts a journey to discover his true identity. But Someone wants him dead.
Dee Bradley Baker,

In the city of Sigil, the only place from which all realities of the Planescape universe can be reached, an immortal amnesiac, the Nameless One, must uncover his past, the mystery of his immortality as well as who's trying to kill him.
Michael T. Weiss,
I really enjoyed Icewind Dale. But after 20 hours I completed it, and wanted more. Lucky for me the expansion is also very well written, and I enjoyed it as much as the original.
In Heart of Winter, you travel further north, to the town of Lonelywood, I will not reveal any more of the story here to avoid any spoilers.
The expansion was criticized by D&D fans, because they changed some of the rule sets from 2.edition rules to the newer 3.edition. To me it only make a better balanced game. If you liked Baldur's Gate, this is a must..
