Trivia

While all of the kids are celebrating their parents' disappearance, The Ramones song, "Blitzkrieg Bop" is playing in the background, but the words "shot 'em in the back now" have been muted out. See more »

Goofs

While everyone is at Retroland having the time of their lives, Cindy Vortex is at home with her friend Libby practicing her Tai Chi while Libby is trying to pick out a new ring tone for her phone. There is no scene after that to suggest that Cindy & Libby left the house, so wouldn't they have been home at the time that Cindy's parents were abducted by aliens? Wouldn't they have heard Cindy's parents scream when they were being beamed up? Wouldn't they have saw the other spaceships going around to the other house from Cindy's bedroom window? Because later when everyone gathers at Jimmy's house to get answers about their parents' disappearance Cindy is argumentative about where her parents are and as far as we (the audience) know, she never left the house & was home at the time when her parents were taken.

Not to mention that later when Jimmy has Goddard do a full on scan of Retroville to scan for any signs of grown ups/parents anywhere within Retroville the scanners says no signs of parents/grown ups anywhere, yet there were possibly several grown ups present at Retroland with their children and those who were operating the rides. So if there are no more grown ups/parents anywhere in Retroville during the time when the kids were all out enjoying themselves at Retroland, then who were operating the rides since children aren't allowed to operate heavy machinery in case of explosion or accident causing harm or death. Kids Movie? I Object!
20 December 2002 | by See all my reviews

So it's by Nickelodeon. So,It's animated. So, I'm 25 with a 3 year old. I love this movie! Maybe I'm one of the few lucky people to be born with a healthy sense of humor, but when my son and I can sit down together and laught at the same parts of the movie, it's definitley worth it's wieght in gold. Don't you people remember being kids? What would you do if you found out there were no parents anywhere around? Yep-the same thing they did, party until you're constipated.THEN wonder where your parents are. Kids like burp and fart jokes because they're kids. How many times can you recall in your childhood when a well-timed burp would disrupt a class for the remainder of the day? And just to add my son't two cents: the part where Poultra is conked on the head by the getaway ship and is going to fall on the audience... my son finds nothing funnier than the thought of a chicken with butt cheeks. Why don't you people see the movie for the entertainment that it is and not pick it apart like some Oscar Nominations Panel? I have two words for you people... UN PUCKER.
