Avengers: Endgame Director Wants To See Thanos Vs. Wolverine

Who says filmmakers can’t be fanboys, too? Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo recently delved into the realm of “what if” in the McU when he was asked which of the X-Men he would have saved from Thanos’ snap. His answer? Totally what you would expect.

The second half of the brotherly director duo chatted recently with IGN’s Up At Noon show. Among other things, he talked about all sorts of fictional groups and their potential survival rates during the Snap, including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the characters from Friends and the Backstreet Boys. When given a choice between Charles Xavier’s mutants though, who can finally officially be a part of the McU, Russo’s decision was predictable, yet fun, saying Wolverine would’ve survived.

“I’d love to see a fiercely motivated Wolverine going up against Thanos,” Joe said, while explaining his crossing out everyone except Weapon X.

Which X-Men Would Have Survived the Snap If They Were Around for Endgame?
The Russo Brothers are big fans of Wolverine. The Avengers: Endgame directors have revealed that if they had the chance, they would've snapped all of the X-Men members, except for Logan. The directors, along with screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, were left with some tough choices to make when it came time to making Infinity War. Some of the world's most beloved superheroes ended up becoming the victim of Thanos' Decimation, turning to dust with half of the universe.

As for why they would have kept Wolverine on board, the Russo Brothers had a pretty interesting reason. "I'd love to see a fiercely motivated Wolverine going up against Thanos," says Joe Russo. He went on to say, "It's not our job to give people what they want, it's to give them what they need." Apparently Marvel fans would have needed to see an angry and emotional Wolverine going up against the Mad Titan,

Mbti® Of Scooby Doo Characters

The Mystery, Inc. kids are pretty much a case study in MyersBriggs Type Indicator® personalities, ranging from the calm, efficient Fred to the friendly, relaxed dog Scooby-Doo himself. While the team has occasionally deviated from their standard personalities, particularly when undergoing new looks for a movie or new series, at their core they've largely remained the same since 1969.

Critics Pick Their Favorite Musical Guest Stars on Scripted TV

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Tuesday.

This week’s question: Who is your favorite musical guest star on a scripted show? Past and present shows apply.

Ben Travers (@BenTTravers), IndieWire

Aside from the curious acting career of one Sturgill Simpson, I’m not all that interested in musicians testing out their acting skills. The elements of performance that tie the two pursuits together can make a singer an enticing screen presence, but it’s usually their appearance on the show that spikes my interest before any of their music — if they’re a good actor, great, but if they’re just there for a ratings hit or to hook music fans, I’m good. That being said, I must say I made sure to watch Bruce Springsteen’s guest stint in the final episode “Lilyhammer.” Appearing as an eccentric mortician,

Heathers Soundtrack Is Getting Neon Green Vinyl Treatment This Summer

Heathers Soundtrack Is Getting Neon Green Vinyl Treatment This Summer
Back by popular demand for its 30th anniversary, the original soundtrack to Heathers from director Michael Lehmann with music by composer, David Newman, is being re-released on "very" neon green vinyl. The LP soundtrack will be available starting August 23rd, 2019.

A cult-classic in the truest sense of the term, (it grossed only 1 million at the box office), Heathers stars a 15-year-old Winona Ryder, who is currently enjoying a notable return of her own on the immensely popular Stranger Things series. Ryder's agent at the time famously begged on her knees for Ryder to pass on the role. The dark comedy which pits a powerful high school clique against a murderous sociopath also features Christian Slater in one of his first major roles and a pre-Beverly Hills 90210, Shannen Doherty.

Discovered by legions of fans on cable TV and video rental stores, the success of Heathers took a decidedly unexpected turn as

Chris Rock’s ‘Saw’ Reboot Moves Up Five Months to May 2020
Lionsgate has moved Chris Rock’s upcoming “Saw” reboot forward by five months to May 15, 2020, vacating the pre-Halloween date of Oct. 23, 2020.

The studio indicated Monday that it decided to move the untitled “Saw” movie into the summer slot after seeing early footage from the set of the film currently shooting in Toronto. The move comes three days after Universal announced that it had scheduled its “Halloween Kills” movie, starring Jamie Lee Curtis, for Oct. 16, 2020.

The “Saw” reboot — the ninth in the 15-year-old franchise — becomes the second title set for May 15. Warner Bros. has set its animated Scooby-Doo feature film “Scoob” for the same date.

Rock will play a police detective investigating a series of grisly crimes. Samuel L. Jackson will portray Rock’s father. Max Minghella, who stars in Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” and recently directed “Teen Spirit,” also joins the cast as the partner of Rock’s character.

Dear white people (and everyone else): Forget everything you know about Dear White People.

A new trailer for Season 3 of Netflix’s woke college comedy — which you can watch above — opens with Sam declaring she’s “done” with her provocative campus radio show, and that’s not the only huge change afoot. As one character puts it, “if everyone stayed exactly the same, life would be tedious and predictable… like the third season of a Netflix show.” How meta!

SpongeBob Trips Out in It's a Wonderful Sponge Comic-Con Poster

We have the first poster for SpongeBob Movie: It's a Wonderful Sponge, straight from the floor of San Diego Comic-Con. Nickelodeon has a big presence at the event this year, as they've brought the entire core cast and the creators of the series down for a panel to celebrate the show's 20th anniversary. Additionally, they decided to use the event as an opportunity to promote the third SpongeBob SquarePants movie with this first very trippy poster.

The Comic-Con poster, in terms of composition, is rather simple, as it features the titular yellow star at its center, though he looks like he's just seen a ghost, like perhaps he just got done with some sort of Scooby-Doo crossover episode. He's surrounded by a bizarre wave of green and purple which appears to move when one stares at it. The tagline for the movie featured on the poster helps hammer home the

Scoby-Doo Returns To Zombie Island In New Trailer For Upcoming Sequel

The Scooby Gang are set to return to the site of an old mystery this fall. 1998’s Scooby-Doo! on Zombie Island is one of the franchise’s most beloved adventures and it’s now getting a belated sequel in Scooby-Doo! Return to Zombie Island. The animated flick will see – you guessed it! – Scoob, Shaggy and the rest of the team journey back to the undead island to solve the perplexing puzzle once and for all.

Mystery Inc. enthusiasts will know that the original Zombie Island successfully relaunched the franchise after a period of inactivity, following the dark days of Scrappy-Doo in the 80s. It was praised for its relative darkness and creepiness, particularly the novel twist that the titular creatures were actually zombies and not just men in masks.

Going by this trailer, though, the sequel looks to be retconning the first one somewhat. The original enigma was wrapped up
