What MTV Classic Needs to Do to Survive
If MTV Classic is anything like MTV, it'll be on the air for a month before people start complaining they don't play enough music. WWE Fastlane 2016 Recap and Review – Ambrose vs. Reigns vs. Lesnar, Styles vs. Jericho III, Divas Championship on the line and more

Cleveland, Oh played host to the final pay-per-view stop on the road to WrestleMania. The main event decided who would take on WWE Champion Triple H at the Show of Shows and the rest of the card saw WWE shuffle the pieces around on the booking chessboard. It’s the Fastlane Report…

1. Pre-Show – Two Out of Three Falls Match for United States Championship: Kalisto (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio

This was nothing we haven’t seen from these two men before and it was nothing short of baffling to see such an intriguing title match relegated to a nothing slot on the pre-show. Nonetheless, Kalisto and Del Rio worked very hard here. Kalisto won the first fall when Del Rio nailed him with a steel chair. This weakened the champion long enough that Del Rio could score his corner foot stomp to even the contest at a fall apiece. The

6 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2016

Well, that was a PPV. It took place on a Sunday and was available on the WWE Network, so it clearly was a PPV. But beyond that, you really couldn’t tell the difference. Fastlane crowned a new #1 contender who will go on to face Triple H at WrestleMania Xxxii, but if you didn’t know who that would be a month ago, then you probably believe your uncle really does pull coins from behind your ear.

Aside from Roman Reigns’ unstoppable march to Mania, there really weren’t any major developments to come out of Fastlane. No one stabbed anyone in the back. No new stars debuted to challenge longtime title-holders. No titles changed hands. No WrestleMania matchups came into clearer focus (aside from the afore-mentioned main event). It really was the definition of a placeholder PPV.

If you skipped Fastlane, you missed a couple really good matches and some entertaining banter,

WWE SmackDown 18/02/16 Recap and Review – Jericho accepts Styles challenge, Ambrose and Reigns vs. Dudleys and more plus Fastlane predictions

WWE SmackDown rolled into Ontario, CA with only a few days to go until the Fastlane pay-per-view event. The prospect of Brock Lesnar hung over the entire show, which was headlined by the brothers in arms Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose taking on the newly heel Dudley Boyz. It’s the SmackDown Report…

1. Lucha Dragons and Dolph Ziggler vs. League of Nations

It’s becoming something of a trend for SmackDown to start with a match rather than the in-ring promos that always kick off Raw. This week was no different, with Kevin Owens hopping on the commentary table for this bout, running down Michael Cole for seemingly having chased popular newcomer Mauro Ranallo from the SmackDown announce team. The match itself was the kind of unremarkable fare that too often fills time on WWE TV, culminating in Owens interference. The Intercontinental Champion’s distraction allowed Sheamus to nail Ziggler

WWE Raw 15/02/16 Recap and Review – Major title change, Brie Bella speaks, Strowman vs. Big Show and more

Raw rolled into Anaheim, CA in the go-home show for the Fastlane pay-per-view. A clash of giants headlined the show, whilst Stephanie McMahon had something evil in mind for Dean Ambrose. It’s the Raw Report…

Dean Ambrose came out to open the show and described Brock Lesnar as being the biggest bully in the school playground. He again called out Lesnar, but got Stephanie McMahon instead. McMahon briefly stirred the pot regarding Roman Reigns before declaring that Ambrose would get an F-5 tonight, with F-5 standing for “Fatal 5-Way” match. Ambrose would take on four other men, with his Intercontinental Championship on the line. If Roman Reigns interfered, Ambrose would be disqualified not only from this match, but from the main event of Fastlane. This was a solid promo segment that was brief enough not to outstay its welcome and set up a hell of an opening match.

1. Intercontinental Championship: Dean Ambrose (c) vs.

7 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night’s WWE Raw (Feb 15)

Did you know that WWE has a PPV on Sunday? Did you also know that there are only five matches officially announced as of the close of Raw? If you were expecting to see the card filled out Monday night, you were disappointed. (Oh, but the tag champs New Day will appear on an episode of the Cutting Edge Peep show during the PPV.)

We’re on the Road to WrestleMania, but if you expected to see the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, then you were disappointed. If you thought you’d see or hear from the Undertaker or a potential WrestleMania opponent, you were disappointed. If you wanted to see some star power from WWE to raise more interest in the product as Mania draws nearer, then you certainly were disappointed.

But if you wanted to watch Zack Ryder lose, Brie Bella try to emote, and someone win

Michael Ware on advice from David Michôd, and the "torturous" Only the Dead

When Michael Ware got back from Iraq, he dumped all the handycam footage he'd shot there in a tupperware container at his mother's house.

When the former correspondent for Time and Newsweek finally brought himself to dredge them out, he realised he had a film on his hands.

"I was sitting there with a friend of mine who's an editor, and she helped me realise that there was a story buried in that archive", Ware said. "That led to us to ingest those tapes, which I'm extraordinarily thankful for because the first of them were just starting to deteriorate"..

Ware first approached Screen Queensland with the idea of fashioning his footage into a feature.

"I sat down with a three-person panel, very clumsily talking about a project I didn't yet have a handle on, about financing I didn't yet understand, and about logistics still beyond me. One of the three
