Storyline

A child is abandoned by his biological mother after it's father passes away. An upper-caste childless couple adopt the child and enroll him in a school much the displeasure of the community who object as they are not aware of this child's caste. The child, now named Tulsidas, grows up, recites the Holy Scriptures and also ends up angering priests and others - who decide to interrupt his work and tempt him with lust. He is then introduced to a woman named Ratnavati and both get married. He falls prey to their designs, starts spending all his time with his wife and neglects his work.
