Trivia

Despite his on-screen reputation as a misanthrope, the real Larry David will not joke about an actor's appearance, unless he gets permission from them. For example, Jeff Garlin has given him permission to call the character Jeff Green "fat", and in "The Pants Tent", Larry was concerned that when his character accused a woman of having breast implants, that people would assume that the actress had breast implants. Goofs

In season five Richard Lewis has a set of golf clubs that he's so attached to that he won't loan them out, even to Larry who has just agreed to give him a life saving kidney transplant. In season six Larry and Jeff take Richard golfing and he knows nothing about the game. See more »

Quotes

Jeff Greene: All of the women at HBO, they don't want to work with you.
Larry David: Oh, come on. That's ridiculous.
Jeff Greene: They think you're a misogynist.
Larry David: Why, 'cause I called the guy a cunt? So what!
Jeff Greene: 'Cause you called the guy a cunt.
Larry David: Big deal, I call men pricks all the time, men want to work with me.
Jeff Greene: Well, cunt's worse.
Larry David: Cunt's not worse. Pricks and cunts, they're equal. Pricks, cunts, come on. They balance out.
Jeff Greene: No, cunt is worse. Cunt's much heavier.
Larry David: Why? Why is cunt heavier?

Curb Your Enthusiasm
2 April 2006 | by See all my reviews

I am writing this because I think that this is the most hilarious and entertaining show on television. Unfortunately, my children do not share my opinion and I had to search awhile to find someone with the same enthusiasm for Larry David's humor. I always find, at least one thing in each of his episodes to send me laughing for all of the good reasons, loud and long! This humor is so therapeutic for me and makes my day. I so 'get' this type of humor and it is wonderful.

I particularly enjoyed the episode, when Larry invited the child molester to his home for a dinner for a religious holiday. This was a mix of his neighbors, who were aware of this young man's problem. Larry David is a master of underplaying and was superb!
